The Sun is up
So we must rise
A new day begins
Another twenty-four hours to labour and strife
To wonder what is the meaning of life
To seek, endlessly, seemingly never reaching the light
The Sun is up
The clouds have cleared
Yet our minds remain foggy with worry
This endless pursuit for money
Wealth, fame, respect among our peers
Many have lost themselves
Many others, their lives
Many, will still
The Sun is up
Yet our spirits stay down
We try to give ourselves a cheer
Convince our mind that life isn't such a drear
Yet, we are filled with dread
What if we do not make It?
And the labour comes to naught, when we meet our death?
The Sun is up
So we must rise
Downcast spirit
Weary hearts
Worried minds
Yet, we must produce!
The Sun is up
The tears of yesterday shall be dried
Vanity of vanity
All is vanity
They say choose yours
Wealth or poverty
You forget
Neither will matter, when you turn to dust
So yes, the sun is up
This is a gentle reminder
That today, it's okay to not try
It's okay to take a rest
It's okay to want to damn it all
Because in truth
Only the living pursues a good life
And today, is not the day we lose you!
So long we are alive, there's nothing we can't achieve...nice poetry
