Bolivians celebrate Dia de las NĂ¡titas. It is a colorful tradition, rooted in ancient local beliefs, that should bring happiness and protection with honor to the dead. During the event, skulls known as natitas were decorated and displayed in a cemetery in La Paz, Bolivia, one week after All Saints' Day and Day of the Dead. Some are decorated with sunglasses and cigarettes, as well as colorful flowers and hats. There are often big parties where people dance to music, drink alcohol and eat candy.

I would not be able to explain our customs to a foreigner and not to talk about the Bolivians. Some customs seemed to be invented by some grandmother to shorten boredom.
