Why do roses have thorns?
When we look at the stem of a rose, it turns out that it has very sharp thorns and can hurt someone who will hold it. The thorns that come from the stems of roses symbolize something very crucial, meaning that every love and happiness that has been created will have a time to experience problems of quarrels, disputes, boredom, jealousy, envy and maybe even separation. Roses have a meaning in love, not only to feel pleasure but also to feel pain.

This certainly made me remember the rose in the story Little Prince. He was perplexed when he found out that his rose isn't the only one in the whole universe because he have seen a garden filled with roses. This made him feel bad towards his rose because he felt like she lied to him. Lil did he know that what makes his rose unique from others was because of their bond and strong relationship.
