India. Goa. The road from Calangute to Baga. Ten years ago. And I'm ten years younger, riding my scooter and taking this photo. And today it's raining in my Siberian town, and we're lying on the couch all day watching the TV series "Chernobyl." What are you doing this weekend?

@optimist

Changing of the guard of honor on Ala-Too Square in Bishkek. Behind you can see the Kyrgyz State Historical Museum. I went to Kyrgyzstan in 2019, when the Olymptrade platform I was making money on at the time was banned in Russia. And that part of the story of my life is already in the past. Things are changing. And how often do you change something in your life?

Photo from yesterday's walk. Novosibirsk, city center, monument to Vladimir Lenin, heroes of the 1917 revolution (left) and a worker and a rural toiler (right). Behind the monument you can see the Big Theater. I wish you, friends, a good weekend! Walk around the city, talk to your family and friends!

@optimist

I took a walk around town. Fountains have been filled up, which will keep the citizens happy until the fall. In the center there is a flowerbed, on which is written that the city of Novonikolayevsk was founded in 1893. It was named after St. Nicholas, the same name the Russian tsar had at the time. In the Soviet Union, the city was renamed Novosibirsk. In what year was your city founded? Do you know the history?

@optimist

I thought I'd share my poem "Sadness" with you today. I wrote it in 1993, but have only now translated it into English. I don't know if I translated it well, you judge, he-he)) Sadness descended on my shoulders. The grass in my driveway has withered away. But I'm not afraid of anything anymore, It's all wind, empty words. Ridiculous life beneath the shards of sleep, Swinging in a gray, ridiculous hammock. Not soon, but quickly, gone forever, Forgetting pride in a wooden chest. And yet there is laughter on the other side. Above those who love themselves most, And the sky sings with the voices of all those. Who flew away before, without waiting for me. Flight without beginning and without end, Like light without sockets or wires. And living hearts bursting out. Hey, who's not ready to fly yet?!

@optimist

It is already spring in Siberia, with green grass and leaves on the trees. The photo shows me in Barnaul, where I went to visit friends on May 3. Yesterday our country celebrated Victory Day, today we still had a day off, but tomorrow the work week starts again. How did you spend your weekend?

@optimist

Have a good weekend, everyone! I have for you today a painting by Yulia Gavrilova, Goan Motives. If anyone is interested, here is her instagram - https://www.instagram.com/julia_Colorsofsummer She captures the mood of life in Goa very well, unhurried and happy. May all be well with you and your loved ones!

@optimist

Have you seen the movie "The Matrix"? The first one, where the male directors haven't turned into women yet. There the main character was offered to choose one pill - if he chose the red one, he got into the real world and understood the true nature of the existing reality. If he chose the blue pill, he remained in the old world of illusions. I have always been interested in the real world, even though it has a rather harsh truth of life. And what pill would you choose? The red one - and live in peace, with a full understanding of what's going on (no matter how harsh it is)? Or blue - and continue to live in a carefree world of imposed illusions?

@optimist

I don't know what to make of that. The day flew by unnoticed again, evening came, and soon it would be night. And again a sunset photo in Goa, where I was last in 2020, before the world reset with the imposition of controls, the mandatory vaccination of mankind with experimental genetic drugs, and the U.S. and NATO war with Russia in Ukraine.

@optimist

And this is a picture of a typical evening in Goa, my favorite place on this planet. Sometimes I think that when I'm a grandfather, I'll go there and smoke a pipe on the beach, watching the sun sink into the gentle waves. Where would you like to live? Or do you like where you live?

@optimist

Something was going on with the platform, at first I couldn't load my post, then question - what is it? I kept getting told - spam and refused to post. The next day when I reopened the page, was amazed - a bunch of my posts with the question - what is it?) Some kind of hallucination of the system, as we say. I hope all is well now. You could consider this a test post. Has something like this ever happened to you?

@optimist

Problem. Third time I try to publish a post, they tell me it's spam, but what kind of spam is it if I just use the translator and copy what it translates into English to paste here. Ow, technicians, this is my original text!!

The photo was taken on April 24, as you can see, we still have no snow to melt. It was a Sunday when Orthodox Christians welcomed Easter, the Resurrection of Christ. While Catholics' main holiday (am I not wrong?) is Christmas, Orthodox Christians' main holiday is the Resurrection of Christ, Easter. And now it's a bright week, when we say to everyone, "Christ is Risen! We go out to visit and hardly ever go on the Internet. Happiness to you, friends! May all be well with you! I took these photos in Laos in 2013. They are posters in the style of socialist realism, of which there were once many in my country of the USSR. They depict the people who are the backbone of the country - laborers, doctors, teachers, police. This is only possible in socialist countries. Where there is capitalism, we are forced to be heroes of promiscuous television stars, silly shows, rich people boasting of their wealth. But the main treasure of any country is ordinary people with a good heart. What do you think? Who is the hero in your country?

There is a story about a man who, as a child, was walking down the street and suddenly saw a wall with a green door in it ("The Door in the Wall" is a story by H.G. Wells). He opened it, it gave way easily, and he entered and saw a garden, a beautiful garden as he had never seen in his younger years; marvelous flowers grew there, wonderful animals played, extraordinary birds sang, and women of extraordinary kindness greeted him. And, as if in a dream, he left there - he so did not want to leave that wonderful garden, and the women guardians of the garden told him, "Someday you will come back to us - but only if you want to." And so many, many years later, when he was already a student and was driving down this street, suddenly he saw this wall, long forgotten, and this green wicket. He wanted to shout to the chauffeur: "Stop!" - And then he thought, "I'll be late for my exam, I'll be late for the institute," and he drove on, thinking, "I'll be back, and then I'll knock on this gate." But when he went back, he did not see that door: there were houses, a wall, and no gate. And so it happened several times in his life: when he was hurrying somewhere on his business, suddenly before his eyes there was a wall and a mysterious green wicket to a wonderful garden. And he would say to himself, "This is it! But now I have no time, now I must hurry, on my way back," but there was no way back. And when he was old, he suddenly realized that it was all in vain, that it was all for nothing, that he was chasing a ghost, and that he had missed the main happiness in life. This is a parable about our lives.

Back in the 90's I read an ancient prophecy of the American Indians who said that there would come a time when no one could buy or sell unless they had the Bear sign. When that sign showed itself, a great war would begin. For a long time I couldn't figure out what that sign was, until the barcodes showed up. Are there any ancient predictions in your country? Can you tell us about them?

@optimist

Photo of the house where my older brother lives. I stopped by today to wish him a happy birthday. It's April 18 and we still have snow. Do you have any brothers or sisters? Do you communicate with them! Say hello to them from Siberia!

@optimist

The Altai Mountains. They are about 500 kilometers from my home. I took this photo in 2012, when I went there with friends. In those ten years I have been to several countries in Africa and Southeast Asia, I have been to India five times, three times to Nepal, I even went to Kyrgyzstan, but I never got to Altai, which is only 500 kilometers away from me... The paradox of the traveler - we don't appreciate what's near, we look for what's far away. Do you travel to your native land?

@optimist

A view of Mount Kilimondjaro. In 2012 I visited Africa at the foot of one of the highest mountains in the world. I wanted to climb it, but it turned out that I had to pay $1,000 to do so, which was very expensive for me, so I was content to climb only 1,000 meters of that mountain and come back down. At the hotel, I took a picture with a local. Tanzania, 2012.

Yesterday we took a lot of walks around the city, went into the yard, and there is still snow. Also yesterday, there was a concert by Yulia and Sasha in that house where the snow is lying. Julia sang and Sasha played the drums. The concert was held in the artists' workshop. It was a lot of fun. Found their 2015 performance on youtube if anyone is interested. Do you guys go to concerts? 2015 https://youtu.be/thrwN1KOwus 2017 https://youtu.be/hp05P-9sV8U - winter in Siberia!

In 2013 I visited Dhaka, Bangladesh, with friends from Calcutta, India. I remember being struck by the money changers sitting on the street with wads of money on a box. Amazing, - I thought, - there must be no theft or robbery in this country. That's hardly possible in our country. What about your countries? Isn't it dangerous to keep stacks of money in plain sight in your country? Ha ha :)) Original Pictured: Dhaka, Bangladesh, 2013.

In this photo is Yuri Gagarin. A citizen of the Soviet Union, on April 12, 1961, he was the first to go into space, circling the globe. It was a big breakthrough in science. And it is customary to celebrate this day every year as Cosmonautics Day. As a child, I also dreamed of becoming an astronaut, but alas, somehow it did not work out. What did you dream of becoming as a child?

People who live in the city are unlikely to understand those who live in the countryside, because they are unlikely to have an alarm clock in the form of such a bird that starts its screams at 4-5 in the morning and does not let you sleep neither in the morning nor in the afternoon. We have to get up early, along with the sun, and start our day without regard to the desire to finish our beautiful dreams. This rooster lives in the Indian state of Goa and probably keeps waking up the whole neighborhood with his cries, while I sleep in snow-covered Siberia and see sunny India in my sleep... Have you ever been awakened by a rooster in the morning?

@optimist

Soon it is the middle of April, we have +4 in the afternoon, and the snow has not melted, so we can say that winter is not yet receding. Ha ha! Welcome to Siberia! Drove around town a lot today, had a lot of work, and I can say I didn't have a day off. And how did you spend your weekend? Did you have a good rest? Have a good week everyone! Be happy! The photo shows Novosibirsk today, 10.04.2022.

Found an old photo. Promoting my old cryptoblog in 2017. Back then I made $10,000 in six months, which I then used to go to India and Nepal. I used to get $100 for one post, it seemed like it would be forever, but then, in 2018 bitcoin collapsed and dragged other cryptocurrencies with it. Consequently, my $10,000 turned into $2,000, even though I was living on that money at the time. It was a fun time. What year did you start buying cryptocurrency? By the way, here's a link to that site - https://golos.id/welcome?invite=optimist This is an invitation link, and my blog here - https://golos.id/@optimist Sometimes I still write there now, but now I can't make that much money there...

Russia has finally abolished the compulsory wearing of masks in public places. It was stupid and useless for almost two years. I wish Russia would withdraw from the World Health Organization so that it would no longer fool its population with the need for useless vaccinations. Do people in your country still wear masks?

@optimist

Visited the 15th floor of the new house today. It's part of my job to drive around and look at different houses in the city. I've gotten to know my city more in the six months I've been a realtor than I have in the 20 years I've lived here, ha-ha. How well do you know your town? By the way, post what city you live in and I'll look it up on the map and send you a ray of happiness there!

@optimist

This photo best reflects the end of winter, which is April in Siberia. It's still snowing, but the temperature outside during the day can be +5 or even +10. The sun is already beginning to warm the ground, but winter doesn't just give up. But I'm glad that we survived another winter and warm days are coming soon. I hope that we will also survive what is happening today in our country's foreign policy, where it has been dragged by U.S. policy. Everything will be fine! Peace be with you all!

What could be better than an early morning by the sea? When the beach is empty and the sea is as warm as fresh milk... And when you dive into the sea, it envelops you in its kind waves and rocks you like in a cradle. Have you ever been to the sea? You should visit it, if you haven't! The sea is happiness! Have a nice day, everyone! Pictured 6 a.m. in Anjuna, Goa, India, 2017.
