They are everywhere, in every country on the planet. They look no different from us, you could be standing next to one right now! They are 'The Infected!'
It sounds like something from a science fiction movie, but it is really happening right now.
We can't tell who is infected with covid and who is not so the way we have to live now is to behave as if we could all be a potential biohazard.
There is hand sanitiser everywhere and we need to keep our distance, and wear a mask to protect us from each other.
Even those who have already been vaccinated must be careful as they can still pass on this virus, so we all need to keep our masks on and limit our social contact.
When does this all end? Here in the UK more than 80% of adults have been vaccinated and this virus is still not under control, we are being softened up for more restrictions to be brought back in the Autumn, there is talk of 'new variants' emerging which may evade the protection given by vaccines and some have suggested that the vaccines may even speed up this process.
There are another even more dangerous group of people they are 'The Unvaccinated!' They also look no different from us but they must be tracked down, taken to a vaccination centre and injected.
They are a danger to everyone! We will not be safe until the whole planet has been vaccinated.
The scale of the task is immense, and will it even work?
Who knows how this is going to play out in the near future.
Will this pandemic come to an end or will our current way of life become the new normal?
It is a very strange time we are living in and I wish we could get back to life as it once was, though I fear that this could take much longer than anyone expects.
And oh yes the vaccine is allegedly volualtary but if you don't want to take it your life will become increasingly difficult.
Take the vaccine and you will have freedom we are told. Though freedom as we knew it before is a thing of the past for sure.
