Fitness: 7th September 2023 + A Did You Know Fitness Question
Good Morning
After a week’s break, the rains returned to my city in all its glory. It was wet as wet can be. It is also a day of Janmashtami celebrated here in India and rains are usually expected. It will be a fun day today. But what about my run?
As I have mentioned before in my articles, I am fine with getting on with the run and then getting wet rather than going outside when it is already raining. Today was the latter case and so, I gave it a break. I will run tomorrow.
What else did I do today?
The focus was on strength and stamina today. My trusted dumbbells came to the fore while getting my arms, shoulders, and back toned. I wanted to go for abs as well, but the time was just not enough. I took a middle ground with planks which also substituted as abs exercise.
While winding down, I got some free time for meditation. Meditation after exercise and pumping of hormones is a different experience as compared to meditation at the beginning of the day before starting anything. Both are different and I have had differing outcomes with both. Interesting!
The last obvious thing for the morning schedule was a good session of Ho’oponopono. Here is my write-up on the topic for those wanting to know more about Ho'oponopono.

Have fun reading and practicing.
Anyway, that's it from me for now. I will see you all tomorrow.
Namaste.

Did You Know?
About a year back, I had written about the abdominal plank record belonging to George Hood of the USA. The timing was an impressive and astounding 8 hours 15 minutes and 15 seconds. What is even more astounding is that this is not the record anymore.
Daniel Scali of Australia is the new abdominal plank record holder. Daniel stayed in the plank position for 9 hours 30 minutes and 1 second. That’s more than an hour over the previous record.
Both George and Daniel are people to look up to, as George was 62 years old when he made his record, while Daniel has Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), leaving his left arm in constant pain!
Respect!
