BitcoinCash could soon be the legal tender in Sint Maarten
If you don't know about Sint Maarten, then you're not alone
Till recently the constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Caribbean called Sint Maarten was relatively unknown as it only has an area of 41.44 sq km (16.00 sq mi).
Making BitcoinCash the legal tender

Rolando Brison, who is the leader of the United People’s Party says that they are drafting the bill to introduce BitcoinCash as its legal tender.
Sint Maarten currently uses Netherlands Antillean Guilder as its currency, which is a leftover from Netherlands Antilles, which was another constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands that broke into different constituent countries, including Sint Maarten.
The currency known as Netherlands Antillean Guilder was to be replaced by Caribbean Guilder in Curaçao and Sint Maarten.
Now it seems that the Sint Maarten is looking towards adopting BitcoinCash instead of the US Dollar or the Caribbean Guilder.
Second country to adopt Crypto as Legal Tender
After El Salvador adopted Bitcoin as their legal tender, Sint Maarten would become the second country to adopt a cryptocurrency as their legal tender.
First country to have BitcoinCash as Legal Tender
Unlike El Salvador, Sint Maarten is potentially adopting BitcoinCash as their legal tender.
While it is still not yet finalized and things are still under development, it can fairly be said that there is a strong possibility that it may actually happen.
There is still a chance that it could go sideways as Sint Maarten is quite a small country that could be swayed by the IMF or the international pressure.
What it could been for BitcoinCash
Since it is not yet finalized I would still not count it as bullish news, but the potential is there as BitcoinCash is becoming quite widespread in the Latin Americas as a payment method.
This could be a positive development for BitcoinCash adoption, however I am personally holding off the celebration till the bill is actually passed in the parliament.
I'm still waiting for our leaders to start adopting crypto and hopefully BCH too :)
