The main principle of belief is to believe in Allah. الإيمان بالله or belief in Allah means believing in Allah with all one's heart that He is the only Lord and Master of all things. He is the only creator. Director and manager of the entire universe. He also believes that he is the only one who is entitled to worship, and he has no partner in it. All other gods besides Him are void. Their worship is also void.
Allaah says in Surah Luqmaan, verse 30:
﴿َذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْحَقُّ وَأَنَّ مَا يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ الْبَاتِلُ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْكَبِيرُ
"All this is because Allah is the Truth, and all that they call upon besides Him is falsehood, and Allah is the Most High, the Most Great."
Further believing that he is endowed with the qualities of Kamalia i.e. goodness and perfection in Sifat and is pure and free from every defect.
