Livelihood Project: Dishwashing Liquid Making

PCUP (Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor) is a government program that helps urban areas to teach basic training where we can learn simple businesses that we can make money from. It's good to know that the Philippine government has this kind of project, and I only experienced it here in Baguio City.

Just yesterday the PCUP was assigned here in our area to teach our association (Sampaguita Site Livelihood Association) how to make Dishwashing Liquid. Along with the training we have a free set of Dishwashing Liquid Raw Materials. I really enjoyed the training because I learned something new again and I can start a business once I have a chance to save for my capital. It's so easy to make Dishwashing Liquid. Let me share with you how to do it. It's a bit tiring to mix the ingredients but it's worth it.

Ingredients:

• Surfactant 1

• Surfactant 2

• Thicker

• Water Softener

• Degreaser

• Foam Booster

• Antibac

• Scent

• Colorant

• Hot and Cold Water (it's better to use Mineral Water for the Coldwater)

Procedures on how to make 20 Liters of Dishwashing Liquid out of 1 set of Raw Materials:

1. Prepare 2 Liters of Hot water in a bucket to make it easier to dissolve the ingredients.

2. Put the Water Softener, it will help to soften the mixtures

3. Slowly pour in Surfactant 1 and mix well until dissolved

4. Next, put the Foam Booster and mix well

5. Add Degreaser and mix gently

6. Add Surfactant 2

7. Add 16 Liters of Cold Water (Mineral Water for better results)

8. Put the Antibac

9. While mixing gently put the Thickener

10. Put the Scent and Colorant together (estimate the application of Colorant until you get the color you desired)

11. Stir slowly and continuously until everything is dissolved

12. Set aside the mixtures until clear and the foam disappears

13. When the foam is gone, you can put it in bottles, you can sell it, or use it personally

This is how easy it is to make Dishwashing Liquid. The procedures are very easy to follow. Only investment is really needed, lols. There are now many cheaper Sets of Raw Materials for Dishwashing Liquid, you can directly buy from suppliers via Shopee or Facebook Marketplace. Just make sure you get the items from a legit supplier. I saw P250 PHP per set, if you can make 20 Liters and sell at least P60php per liter you immediately have P1,200 pesos in sales and P950 profit.

I am thankful to PUCP for their perseverance to come here to our place even though we are far away. Imagine they still come from Quezon City, Manila but they never get tired of going to distant places to teach us how to earn a living. This is a big help for those of us in the Urban Areas. They promised that they would come back again to teach us how to make Fabric Conditioners and Perfumes. I'm excited about Perfumes because that's really one of the things I wanted to learn before. Hoping for more Livelihood Projects within our Association too.
