Waiting for a train...

It must be that I said too many good things about trains in my last article, so here I am, waiting for one that's an hour late. My brother is coming for the weekend, and I need to wait for him. For things to be worse, it's a late train anyway, should have been here at 9.40pm. And in Belgrade, public transportation goes very rare, after 11, 12, it goes every hour only. Yes, there is a taxi, as an option, but in Belgrade it's not cheap at all. When I left my apartment, the train was half an hour late, and by the time I reach bus station, it was 56 minutes. Thing is, I could have returned to the apartment and left later, but the train was still away and could possibly be faster at other parts and lower the time difference. And I didn't want my brother to reach the station and wait for me. There was very little people outside.

I decided to wait for the first bus and go to the station and wait for him there, hoping that train will become faster. Maybe not the smartest idea, since around the train station there is literally nothing, but I thought I could take a walk. Luckily, the weather was just perfect. It was 17-15 degrees, and nighttime, so no sun to make it feel warmer. It's actually my favorite temperature. I don't do good on high temperatures, not even on normal if there is sun. Therefore, this evening was very pleasant for walk. I didn't want to go far away because I still didn't know when the train will come, but I wanted to make some extra steps.  Also, the sky and moon were beautiful, even tho the moon was still not 100% full.

I ended up making around 3500 steps, just there. But I would say it counts as even more, because I didn't want to go far away from the station, so I went up and down stairs, like a crazy person. Luckily, there was only one person around, that didn't seem to care what I am doing 😁

I also took some snaps while I was there, just to not be completely bored, but there were not too many things around, just a train station. And it was nighttime and my camera is not the best for night shots, but I took a few anyway. I already added some, here is another one:

On this last one, you can also see the temple of Saint Sava in the background. And in the front is a train station. Finally, at 10.35, the train came, and we were able to catch a bus, not long after.

Lately, trains seem to be extra late, and ironically, it all started to happen more often, since they added a new, extra fast train, but it goes to other line, not to my home.

I hope that trains will go normal again soon, but I won't go by this "regular" one till summer probably, so I hope it will be fixed until then. I might try the new fast one, however.

This was a story from Friday. I was a bit busy and couldn't post before.

All photos I used in this article are original and taken by me. I also edited them in the default phone application for editing photos.

Thank you for reading my post ❤️
