Teddy and his friend

My dog Teddy has few "regular friends" that he sees every week. On Sunday we go to the village, and there he is playing with my aunts dog and two dogs that are living there. I would say he gets along with all of them now, even though at first, he is not favorite to other dogs. I think it's because he is bigger, so maybe they are intimidated, but he really only wants to play all the time.

A few years ago, Teddy and our friends' dog got to know each other. She came to us, and Teddy of course loved her right away, and wanted to play and was all over her. They came to our place, because we wanted to take them both to the river that is near our home. 

Teddy loves the river, but he is not so sure about swimming. He knows how to do it, but he is little scared of it, and prefer to stand in water. The first time we took him to the river, I went a little more deep in the water, where he couldn't stand anymore, and he was barking and panicking, I guess he was worried about me, hah. 

Anyway, the other time we took him with his friend, and she is a golden retriever, and she swims very well. Teddy was so surprised with this, and first he was barking at her, and then he finally swam with her, but he was whining all the time. He didn't want to let his lady swim alone, even though he was so scared.

I have to say, I was a bit jealous how he didn't come to rescue me in the water, but his crush? He was there for her constantly. I am just kidding of course, but it was so funny to see him overcoming his fear, just so he could follow up his friend.

Teddy and his friend didn't see each other for some time, and last weekend we decided to get them together again, but this time at her place. She wasn't so thrilled at first, I think she didn't like him being on her territory, or she forgot him, since it's been a few years. But after a while they were finally good and started to play and enjoy.

Hopefully, this summer weather will be good, and river side will be nice, so that we can take them both again to the river. They will enjoy there more, and for Teddy it's good to go to the river in summer, because he doesn't like heat at all, so it's a nice way for him to get refreshment.

All photos I used in this article are original and taken by me. The one from the river are bit blurry because it was long time ago and phone camera was not the great, plus they were constantly moving.
