Most of us pilipino really knew these childhood delight called Binatog. First i just want to share what is Binatog, its a boiled white corn kernels that are intentionally overcooked that the corns bursting out they're skin, some results puffing up the corn, it has sugar, salt , evaporated milk and grated coconut.
In our childhood days, the sound of the bell signals the arrival of the binatog vendor on bike, roaming around the street, going house to house looking for buyers, but now i dont hear that sound anymore, we usually often called them manong(almost all the male vendor). He is shouting "Binatoooggg" while ringing his bell . I really missed my childhood days because of the street vendors who always roaming around inside of the barangays almost everyday.
The plain binatog was good for me, i like it simple, tasty and starchy. However, there are salty and sweet version of it, but i really enjoyed the sweet one with condensed milk.
