The Teacher's Observation
April 30, 2022
I was reading baby gerl @ExpertWritter's article on how she regretted answering her younger cousin's modules way back when the pandemic started.
Then I thought that Mum made the right choice to let the child learn and answer their modules on their own. We only need to guide them in doing their modules.
At first, I admit I really want to not let them do the modular but Mum was firm with the decision to let the children explore on their own so I agreed.
Then modules come and go to be answered and then submitted. During the course of doing their modules and answering everything in it, I can say that they do learn a lot from it. My son and his cousin were in Preschool while the other one is in Grade Three.
Even though they're doing their modules it's not just as easy to learn and teach the kids, especially their age who loves to play then hold a pencil and answer it, but Mum did everything she can to teach and mold the kids to do study and learn.
Then Face to Face classes came into view as the restrictions were lifted and the kids are now having their schedules to go to school twice a week. I never got the chance to assist him to school during the first week but I did get the chance last week.
Then as I walk them to their designated room I saw their homeroom teacher putting their names on their table. I greeted her and let the kids sit on their chairs as per the assigned area. I then asked the teacher on her observation with the kids, especially my son to which the teacher happily said that they were doing absolutely good.
As per the teacher,
The kids are really attentive and are doing fine, most of the kids didn't get to quite catch up with all the learnings from the modules but some of them easily answer all the reviewers, and my son and his cousin were one of them. She didn't have to go to their table and explained for they listened attentively. Well, I remembered Mum scolding them for not listening to the instructions so maybe they learned their lessons from that and had to listen to the teacher's guidelines.
Mum did the right decision by never letting us answer the modules on our own and letting the kids learn from it on their own and just guide them in doing it. The teacher gave us two thumbs up in guiding the kids which made them excellent.
All the studying and the discipline paid off as they easily get to learn the lessons and what the teacher is telling them for they are used to doing what Mum would tell them and concentrating on what the teacher is telling them is one of it.
I am glad actually, after hearing the teacher's observations about the kids. I thought that my son would be somewhat like those hard-headed kids who don't want to listen to the teacher and just play and goof around, but I was wrong for he is attentive and is performing well.
This was supposed to be published last night but since the connection is not permitting me to do so and I was also watching the Ms. Universe coronation night I only get to publish this now.
Thanks for reading and I hope you're doing fine.
Be blessed and be a blessing!
