Last November 17, ESP teachers and I went to Clark, Pampanga to have a break from endless school works and errands.
Before I tell how that day went on us, let me have a story how I landed in ESP family. Like what I have said in my previous articles, I am a General Science Major. However, how this scenario happened? Back before the days where no one thinks that this pandemic happened, the former principal of Cabiao NHS(current school I am working) took me back here in my alma mater. Prior to his transfer to other school, he gave the hand to ESP family to take care of me because Science Department is full of stock in numbers of teachers. So, for the sake of returning home (I was assigned that time to San Vicente, 3 long baranggays from town) he led the way back and eventually ESP family welcomed me wholeheartedly. That day, only ESP Department needed a teacher to lessen their loads. Since then and now, I am happily working together with those kind and supportive people/mothers/sisters/brothers. But still, I always consider to finally be back on my first love---teaching Science. I think this January, Science Department will come over me.
Anyway, let's have focus on the point of this article. After computing the grades and completion to the unfinished projects, the body had decided to have a short break. One of the teachers suggested to have a beach break. Some were suggested to have a long drive then should rented a private resort for a one-day overnight. However, not everyone agreed on this because these were all time-longings that's why Ma'am Blessie suggested, "Mag-Clark nalang tayo, Puregold, tska mamasyal gawin ron". After this, the body agreed with this. Can say that it was indeed a fun-filled and enjoyed day to all of us.
At exactly 8am, with three 6-seaters vehicles, ran along the way to the Clark. Ma'am Reghs, our driver, checked if we were complete. The other one, Daddy Dante Sebastian, the spouse of Maam Zeres was the one who drives the another car. In the ESP family, we are consisted of 15 teachers with our Head Department. So, it was really convenient because the cars were spacious.
The first place we had is the Pingpangan Capampangan at San Fernando, Pampanga. We had our sumptuous lunch here and everyone is enjoying the food. It is a Kapampangan food resto which offered different delicacies. The thing that cause me to feel a bit sad is the arrangement of the table. It is positioned directly with only two seats and one table. I am expecting that we will eat in long and compressive table but I understand because they still imposing social distancing continuously. Everyone is eating and taking pictures will never be forgotten.
After Pingpangan, we went on Oriental Market. At the first glance, it is not so a typical look-like market because of its appearance. It is like a storage of luggage haha. We went inside and I was expecting to see different products but hundreds of unsorted things are there. On the other hand, I saw the other side with thousands of overruns but all of these were too huge for me. I felt glad because I love searching quality pants nor dresses in overruns. Sad to say, I didn't found any exact to my size haha. A quite time of walking and window shopping, the result was only one of us had bought and it's a pair of thin black hanger. When everyone noticed that, all of us were laughing.
One of the favorite place of all mothers is Supermarket. They were all excited because Puregold is the next stop. I remember Ma'am Sally had a long list of products she is going to buy. We got a parking first and cart. All of us are grinding to get what on their checklist. While the others are busy to collect their products, here is me pushing the cart for them hahaha. I only bought one large plastic of powder soap and fabric conditioner because I only afford these hahaha. Then, the time is being consumed for shopping haha.
Actually, it's almost my third time in Puregold because the people here in oir place are not quite accustomed. Honestly, there are so much products I want to buy for my family but I only afford the powder soap and the fabric conditioner haha. Somehow, I felt motivated that one day I can have the means to buy the products I wanted for my family. Right time will tell, who knows.
After this, we decided to have a meal in McDo. We had fruitful conversations and I ralized that these people are truly worth remembering when I finally step on to Science Department. Of course, let people enjoy time so we have lots of pictures and selfies haha. We noticed the sunset is going down, everyone stand and decided to go home.
By the way, this day was a great treat from Ma'am Andie, Ma'am Zeres and Ma'am Sallie as the birthday celebrants for the month of November.
Aside from full tummies, wider laughs and good bonding, we had tackled so much lessons in life to be cherished for.
