
I have seen my mother and grandmother praying after Fajr prayers and reciting and blowing on us. And the blessings of these prayers were also evident. The houses where the elderly are still are very blessed.
But the practice of keeping elders at home and asking for prayers from them is becoming less and less common.
Besides, when we went out, my mother used to read something and blow it on us and also have a reminder for us, come back to home before evening.
Leaving home is less common in the evening. And the markets didn't stay open late at night. The night was for rest and to stay indoors. But nowadays no one listens to these things.
