According to an analysis recently published by the Union of International Associations (UIA), Singapore ranked first among global congress destinations for 2019. Every year, the UIA publishes a report on the best congress tourism destinations in the world. This year, a comprehensive statistical analysis covered a total of 161 countries and 1,251 cities, with Brussels in second place, Seoul in third, Paris in fourth, and Vienna in 5th place. At the top of the list are the leading congress cities around the world, as well as the number of conferences held in the last year: Singapore (1,116), Brussels (961), Seoul (579), Paris (375), Vienna (306), Bangkok (290) , Tokyo (288), London (207), Madrid (200) and Lisbon (199).
When it comes to statistics by country, the first place on the list was taken by Singapore, followed by Belgium and South Korea.
Austria is in tenth place with a total of 386 events, and the total share of the City of Vienna in the Austrian result is about 79%.
