The oldest house in Aveyron in France, built in the 13th century. The houses were then built with a smaller ground floor because they were taxed per square meter of the ground floor, so people built it to pay less tax.

The houses are recognizable, because each floor was bigger than the previous one.

They used to be better quality houses than now, my grandparents still have an old house 150 years ago, it flies cold in you and the winter is warm :)
