Strive for Progress, Not Perfection

Most of us have some type of goal we are attempting to reach, even if we haven’t entirely formulated the purpose in our minds. We desire to try something different, break an old way, be successful at work, or trick.

Sometimes these goals can be a little vague in their capacity without a defined direction toward achieving the objective, a type of general sense of preferring to be healthier, softer our blood pressure, manage our tension, achieve attainment at work or sport, be a better partner, spouse, parent, employer, worker, athlete, student…person.

How to Progress

Perfection is unachievable. It is unsuccessful to go after perfection when there’s no way to attain it. Seeking perfection, rather than progress, can set you up for a life of failure and certain failure. Hope for progress, not perfection.

Perfectionism develops procrastination.

When you let take-off of perfectionism and pursue progress rather, you can avoid procrastinating. A lot of people do not initiate anything in their lives because they believe they won’t be able to attain something perfectly. In their ambition to make things accurate, they do not even proceed in the first place. Perfection prolongs progress, making you stuck where you stand. When you’re after progress, you can allow yourself to keep moving forward despite downfalls.

Progress enables you to get somewhere.

Imagine yourself running in a society. If the finish line retains moving away, you’re not earning any progress, eventually, you’ll exhaust knowing you will never attain the moving finish line. Making perfection your precept is like racing towards a moving finish line. You’ll never bring yourself there. Instead, if you’re running towards a steady finish line, each step allows you to make progress. Even if you drop and get back up and running again, you’re still making improvements.

Excellence is not perfectionism.

Giving your satisfaction in everything can guarantee your progress in whatever you seek. It does not signify that if you let go of the need to be real that you will work less tough or that you’re relieving. Excellence is about providing the best you can give for your family, your career, and your relationships. Perfection is just not the criterion for when you will be convinced with what you’ve provided.

 Give yourself credit

Pursuing perfection maybe the terrible thing you can believe from yourself. Instead of knocking yourself up for attaining an unreachable goal, why don’t you turn on giving yourself the value of being at least one step closer to the objectives that you have achieved?

Moving slowly is fortunate than being stuck.

Progress is about pertaining your present self with your past version, wishing you’ve improved. A lot of times, we distinguish ourselves from a principle of perfection that we may have loosely established in other people’s lives. We see other women have nicer bodies, better careers, better relationships, and overall better existences, and say, “I wish that perfect life!” When we seek perfection, we’re only relating ourselves to a standard for our destiny selves that deep down inside, we’ve agreed on we can never be. And so, we don’t leave for it because of the concern of failing. Progress enables you to move ahead. Even if you stride at your slowest rate, you’re however moving toward your motive. When you’re intending for perfection, you can either get so incapacitated by the fear that you get attached where you are or you drive on a treadmill towards an impossible moving goal, never obtaining anywhere.

We focus on the journey, not the destination.

We strive for progress, understanding, growth, knowledge. We strive for morality and awesomeness, but still, enable for weakness. For the swish room. For the understanding and satisfaction that even if we drift off the path for a while, the direction is still within our scope and we’re still leading the way in the right path.
