Hello my readcash fam! How are you today? It's been two weeks since my last publish and it's because of many reasons. I've been very busy this past few days because we celebrated the feast of Our Lady of Miraculous Medal here in our place. It is celebrated every 5th of June.

Our Lady of Miraculous Medal is a blessed mother wearing a miraculous medal. A miraculous medal is also known as the Medal of Our Lady of Graces. is a devotional medal. We called it miraculous which means it is full of miracle.

According to the elders Blessed Mother protect all the people in our place. We are near the Taal Lake and maybe you know that Taal Volcano erupted last 2 years and still active until now. But you know what our place didnt got any damage unlike the other places surrounded near Taal Volcano and they believe that it is because Blessed Mother protect all of her people here in our place. And we are very thankful for that.

As a part of the celebration before the sunrise, fluvial procession starts the day. Blessed Mother ride on the boat with many flowers decorations followed by many boats and the devotees riding on it. But aside from procession in the lake, there is also a procession in the land. And they do it every year. Sadly I didn't join the procession because I was busy helping in the kitchen. Yours truly is a helper for that day, assisting guest and "dakilang dishwasher," HAHAHA. And because I was busy I forgot to take some pictures. I can't touch my phone that time... HAHAHA

There is also what they called Sagala or Flores de Mayo but I don't know if it is called like that because we are in month of June already. Many beautiful ladies, handsome men and cutiest kids together with the band joined in the parade.

Another highlight for the feast day is the boat racing. Last year I watched the race but I didn't this year. The signal to start the race was the gunshot. Two boats will starts the race with the chosen drivers. The driver of the boat are wearing life jacket as a security measures. There is a team assigned to watch and rescue in case some incidents happened. Sometimes the boat turned upside down because of the high speed. There are many participants because of the cash prize. If I'm not mistaken PHP 50,000 is the first prize. And watching boat racing was fun specially if the drivers are all good.

Look at that, the race was very close. One will only lose in curving. It was fun...

My POV

Always be grateful to our dear Lord and to Blessed Mother. Showing our love and respect is not just doing a grand celebration. Grand or simple celebration doesn't matter, the most important is you did it with heart and sincerity. Not just to brag that you are rich and can afford that. Always believe and have faith on Him and our Blessed Mother. And also show love and respect to someone whatever religion they are belong, at the end of the day we are all His son.
