It is a story that happened years ago in Argentina in the city of Buenos Aires in a fortress. Some had to live the experience and others heard the event that occurred and were surprised.
The people who lived there in the castle, along with their families, had a very bad time, because there was no food. At that time there was a fierce hunger, they fed on plants and animals that they got in the forest.
Many people had the intention of killing someone and eating their meat. At that time a captain ruled, he had a strong and cruel temperament of bad feelings.
The inhabitants of the place were furious at its poor management, it did not provide what the population needed such as: food, clothing and good living conditions. The feeling of instability present there, and to this was added an enormous number of wild beasts that came from lands near the fortress to live.
The danger was eminent, leaving the castle ran the risk of being killed by the pumas. The captain of the city had established that whoever left the boundaries of the fortress would die.
Days later, hunger increased dramatically, many people died. In view of such an event, the Spanish woman took the initiative to escape from the fortress, she did not care about the death penalty imposed by the chief who commanded the city, nor the lions that were outside the castle.
Her desire to survive this woman was stronger, she was filled with courage and crossed the fence that served as protection and went to the jungle to the territory of Indians to live. She wandered aimlessly for a long time, until one day the sky clouded over, a storm was approaching, so she had to protect herself from the rain, and she entered a cave.
In moments she realized that she was not alone in the cavern, there was a large lioness with giant legs, her appearance surprised her so much that she fell unconscious on the spot. It took the woman to come to her senses and when she did, she saw the lioness and her two cubs, which she took care of with dedication.
The fear had disappeared in the Spanish lady, she reached out to the lioness and her two creatures and caressed them, her gaze was one of love. The three animals coexisted in harmony and friendship with the Spanish, she spent several days taking care of the cubs in the cave, while the lioness went out to the forest to hunt and bring food for everyone.
And it happened that one day the woman decided to go out into the forest, being in the river she was kidnapped by some Querandi Indians and they took her captive to their tribe. The lioness noticed the absence of the woman who did not reach the cave.
Days passed after the disappearance of the Spanish woman, then in the forest the captain's soldiers were in search of food. They came to a tribe that was close to the fortress, and found the Spanish woman prisoner, untied her, and took her with them to the city of Buenos Aires.
The Spanish soldiers took the woman to the castle. When the chief saw her, he ordered that she had to die for her disobedience, she would be thrown to the wild fairs to be dismembered and devoured by them. The captain's men carried her out of the fortress and tied her tightly to a tree that remained beyond the castle boundaries.
It was already night, and many wild animals attended the place, among them was the lioness who lived with the woman. When he saw him, the lioness came to his side and he did not move from there, he prevented the beasts from approaching him to harm him, he protected him.
Later, the captain's men came to check if the prisoner had died, and the surprise was that she was still alive and the lioness and the two cubs at her side guarding her. When the animal saw the soldiers, it moved away so that they could approach the Spanish woman and untie her.
They were amazed at the solidarity and humanity of the lioness. This finding caused the military to take the woman back to spare her life, it was a miracle seen by their eyes.
The lioness was meowing as a sign of sadness, while the Spanish woman looked at her with tears of gratitude.
It is a fable story, of the coherence between man and wild animal.
