Effects of alcohol on the family

There are families where the alcohol has taken control of a member, producing different effects that cause harm and discomfort to the people who live around them.

In many cases, living together at home becomes unsustainable. Conflicts are frequent and begin with a simple discussion until they manage to throw forceful objects to attack, they do not care if they are the wife, the mother or the children.

Other times it happens that the excess of alcohol that they have in their organism, leads them to commit acts in their home or outside of it that later they are perplexed by the feat that they have just executed, since in normal conditions they wouldn't dare do it.

Often family members feel vulnerable because there is no support to for food, clothing and study needs. The father, who is the supplier, is not working, products of irresponsibility, which creates uncertainty.

On the other hand, an alcoholic at home is a sea of never-ending problems. In that place the misunderstanding reigns, and the lack of tolerance, respect and commitment on the part of the alcoholic to make decisions for the benefit of the family, they prefer to go from glass to glass, extinguishing the ashes of their cigar instead of giving stability to their children.

It should also be noted that those who lose the most in a home destroyed by alcohol are the children, the environment in which they operate is not appropriate for their psychological and moral well-being.

Most of the time the children are not well cared for, they spend it alone and they are at risk of being abused, they grow up with trauma and great probabilities of falling into the same vice of the father, they tend to imitate the father figure.

At the same time they take on responsibilities at a young age that correspond to their parents to support the house.

In closing, I suggest that parents along with their children take psychological therapy to provide them with the necessary tools to get out of alcoholism. It is important to recognize that they have a problem.

Remember that your children and family deserve to be surrounded by love, respect and security.

Excess alcohol can lead a person to do things that they would not normally do, including attacking their mother, maybe you have not seen this situation, but it happens ...
