"Thank you, love. Have a great day." he got his coffee from the counter and walked out of the cafe and proceeded to where the wailing of the police cars was coming from. From the sidewalk, he could see the build-up of the traffic on the road and he watched the agitated drivers and motorists react to untimely rush hour.

He reached the cause of the ruckus and it was a crime scene right in the middle of the street. Police tape was set up around a perimeter and the curious onlookers were gathered just outside the yellow made-up fence.

Sherlock Obvious looked over the crowd and saw the remains of what looked like to be a female body on the concrete ground. She was lying on the pool of blood and her body lay lifeless and her head splattered all over the place.

He then took a step back and looked around the scene. He turned to his side and looked at each end of the block. He then turned his discerning gaze to the building where the jumper seemed to come from. He keenly observed each window on each floor.

While sipping his hot coffee, he paced a few steps to the east and took in a new angle and perspective for the scene. When he was satisfied, he did the same towards the west and concluded the seemingly ritualistic pacing.

He sipped from the coffee cup again until it was empty. He took off the lid of the cup and tossed the cup inside a nearby trash bin. He then wiped the lid with his handkerchief that he pulled from his breast pocket before he crumpled it to a tiny piece and tore it all apart.

He then looked around the crowd. People have their smartphones out and were just feasting over the dead body. His observations then fell upon a bald guy who seemed to be looking up the building. He was wearing a brown suede jacket and jeans.

"Hmmm. Curious." he said while rubbing his chin.

"Mr. Obvious. You're there. Come on in. We are just about to enter the building."

"Yes, indeed I am. I was just in the neighborhood when I received the call. I thought I visit you guys since I am here."

Police Officer Rebel LessStrand said as he lifted the yellow tape up allowing Sherlock to come into the scene.

"I think it's quite simple, this case. Open and shut. Suicide all over. It's not the case you usually like to handle. But it's good that you're here so you can be a witness too, for my report, you know."

"Where's the note?" Sherlock inquired.

"We haven't found anything yet, but you see, it's not the first time someone jumped from here."

"Hmmm. Let's see the quarters, shall we."

Sherlock Obvious climbed the run-down stairs of the old building until they were on the second floor. He opened up the window, looked down directly below, and saw the body flat on the ground. He then took a step back, tossed a coin, and let it fall to the floor. He bent down to pick it up and said, "Curious indeed."

He did the exact same thing as they go up to the last floor of the building.

"Say LessStrand, there isn't a rooftop access here, right?"

The police officer agreed and confirmed it.

"Then, very clearly. You have a murder on your hand."

"Murder, you say?" Rebel was shocked and surprised.

"You might want to dust for prints. And oh, you might want to question that guy."

Sherlock then pointed to the guy in the brown jacket from the crowd.

Rebel radioed in and the officers on the ground approached the guy and as they were closing in, the guy tried to run and shake them off, pushing several people towards the police. A wild chase ensued but he was then captured after he was hit by a moving vehicle.

Upon thorough questioning, the guy confessed to killing the girl.

How did Sherlock Obvious know it was a crime? Why did he suspect the guy in the first place?

Halloa!!

How are you?? Stirring up some things now. I just felt that a change of pace was necessary.

I really love stuff like this one and if you have more of this, kindly send me the links so I can read and I can be inspired.

This one's inspired by a riddle that I read before, I forgot where I read it and who the original poster was, but if you know, I would gladly credit the guy.

Anyway, thanks for the visit and as always...

Cheers!!!

I'm guessing what Sherlock observed was a torn piece of clothes from the bald man which was also found with the body. This would suggest that they were in the heat of a physical argument when she fell. Also, he was looking at the building instead of the body, I sense guilt or shame perhaps or he was more focused on the Police not finding out it wasn't a suicide. It is obvious he didn't plan it well because he didn't have enough time to plant the suicide notes, I guess he figured out the police would take it as a suicide regardless.

I love Sherlock. He is living his name. I mean his name suits him hahaha. All of the character's names were created using a witty mind.

The guy in a brown jacket looks at the building first and not at the lifeless woman. I think that is the clue 😁

It's just a small detail, and no one could really say anything certain from it...

I guess because Sherlock saw the man looking down over the dead body. Since it is not narrated about how did the girl fell, but i guess they had a fight and the man pulled the girl and went to the ground. Since Sherlock while zipping at the coffee witnessed the whole scene them he could say that the man in a brown jacket is the suspect
