Suddenly, His Cheeks Were Red

Recap:

Jeremy and Momo walked around the city streets.

They ended up at the red light district of the city and Momo dragged Jeremy along and they went into a karaoke bar so Momo could have some fun.

After belting out everything she had, they went out as Momo asked Jeremy to pay for it. Jeremy of course paid and they were out in the streets again.

Continuation:

They started walking out in the streets again and the crowd is beginning to get thicker and thicker since it's getting closer to rush hour for the businesses and other establishments.

Momo was walking with a bounce in her steps while she was looking around the city. Jeremy was immediately behind her. He was watching her every step and in every way. He was wondering how this girl could be so carefree when she's out and how she could be so cool and seem cold when she's at school. It is as if as though he was with another girl. The gap just makes her more interesting in his eyes.

They got mixed up in the crowd but they were just two arm's length away from each other.

Momo's prancing was halted by a middle-aged guy in a suit. He was wearing a sunglass even though the sun is already preparing to make its exit. And in all sense of the word, he looked like a goon.

Momo just blankly stared at the guy in front of her.

"Say, miss, would you like to be a model. You have a gorgeous face, a nice body, and a nice style. You just have to come with me. I can make you famous."

"Huuuuh?!"

Momo replied in an irritated tone.

"I am not interested in your scam."

She added before she walked around the guy. She rolled her eyes thinking that she's already famous online, her body at least. Out of desperation or something else, the guy grabbed Momo's arm and she was forced to face him again.

"What are you... let me go, old man, you're hurting me." she was agitated but she was not panicking or anything. She just stood there telling the guy to let her go. She was calm but her voice has a certain authoritative tone in it.

The guy scoffed and told her, "You are fierce too, just how I like it. Come on let's go, I will show you a good time, a night you won't forget."

"Huh?! I don't think so. Talking big like that, you seem to be compensating, I bet that small thing of yours could not even last for a few minutes."

Momo snapped back at the guy with a roll of her eyes.

"Why you little bit...."

Before the guy could even finish his profanity, he curled down to the ground groaning in pain. A kick to the balls could really do that to any guy. Jeremy kicked the guy between the legs and quickly grabbed Momo's hand and he dragged her through the crowd as they ran to get away from the guy.

Without even looking back, they went on turns and other streets until they reach the train station.

They were both panting and Jeremy sat down against the walls. Momo was trying to catch her breath while she was bent over with her hands on her knees.

Jeremy looked up at Momo and when he could speak again he asked, "Are you okay?"

Momo then stood up straight. She slowly walked towards Jeremy. In his eyes, everything was just moving slow and he was looking at her flustered face that complemented her pink hair very well. His daydream was abruptly and violently ended when Momo's palm connected to his face with such force.

The slap sent shivers down his spine and he was at a loss for words and for emotions. He just watched the girl walked away from him and he could not even move a muscle. He could not feel a thing aside from the stinging pain on his left cheek. He held it and it hurt even more.

What the hell was that?

That's all he could think of on the way home. When he got home, he could not even entertain his prying mother and he went straight to his room. He lied on the bed staring into the ceiling and still trying to make sense of what happened. What just happened? Really?

And then he realized that he was still holding the bag with Momo's uniform in it.

"Damn."

Hello you!

What's up? I hope you haven't forgotten about this story yet. Sounds like another confusing ending right? I am so sorry about that, I am also at a loss just like Jeremy, what's going on? What's going to happen? What would have happened?

Anyhow, I thought that things like that only happen in movies or in Animes. That thing where some shady guys are trying to recruit cute unsuspecting girls on the streets for "entertainment" purposes. If the girl went along with them, then she could either end up being an AV idol or worst-case scenario, she'd end up dead somewhere. So you be careful with those model recruiters out there, make sure that they're legit, scams and scumbags are everywhere. Be careful since you're especially cute.

Also a huge shoutout to @Meyzee , I appreciate your usual and unwavering support. :)

Anyhow, I would like to say that I really appreciate you. Thank you for being here, and with that let me end with a toast, a toast to us...
