Navigating the APPICS App - Simple Guide
When I was new in using the APPICS app I was a bit confused on how the platform really works. It is a bit normal to not fully understand how an app works at first. Through research and getting involve in the Appics community, little by little I came to understand how things work in the platform.
Once you have created and account in Appics, it is now time to explore and get to know other users by following and upvoting and commenting on their posts. If you don't have an account yet, click here for a guide.
Below is a quick guide on how to navigate your Appics Account.
Your Profile - by tapping this profile picture of yours, you will be led to your profile.
By tapping this three dots, you have the option to flag or share this post to other social media platforms. If you are viewing your own post, this part of Appics will give you the option to either edit, delete or share your post.
Post Rewards - The rewards you get from your posts. You have the option to show it in USD or in APX. You can set it in your settings. 65% of the total post reward goes to the content (post) owner, 25% to the users who voted and 10% to the Appics platform.
Wallet - tapping this icon leads you to your wallet.
Create New Post - tap this if you want to create a new post.
Search - use this option to search for users, hashtags or if you want to see the trending and hot posts in Appics.
Votes - Tapping this will make you see the users who voted for your post.
Notifications - section of the app where you can see notifications on who voted, commented and others.
These are basically what you see on the Appics App.
Let me explain a little bit about the Appics Wallet.
Every Appics account comes with a blockchain wallet. This is where the rewards of your content go whenever it pays out after 30 days of posting. It also where you can find delegated Appics Power (Voting Power) and your liquid APX Tokens.
This is how a Appics Wallet looks like:
Appics Power - This is the total voting power your account have. This includes The voting power delegated to you. You can also add more power by powering up or convert you Appics power to liquid APX by powering down.
Liquid APX - APX tokens that can be withdrawn or sent to other users in the platform.
Delegation - Delegated Voting Power or borrowed Voting power from other users.
Delegate - With your own (meaning not from a delegation) Appics power you can let other users use it by sending them delegation.
Send APX - You can send liquid APX tokens thru this function of your Appics wallet.
What is Upvote?
In a common social media platform, this means a LIKE. In Appics, a user can reward other user's content with APX Tokens by upvotes. Rewards would depend on the Voting Power of the one upvoting the post.
How to Upvote?
Just simply tap the triangle and you will be directed to the image below:
Swipe to the right they up. The percentage of the vote will be up to you. That is how simple upvoting is being done.
What I have mentioned above are basically what the Appics app looks like and how it works. I have not shown here yet the interface of creating a new post and commenting. But for sure you will find it easy to do once you are used to the app. If you have more questions you can leave me comment, and I will try my best to address it. :) or you can visit the official Appics Website here.
By the way, Appics is built on Telos, home to the Fastest EVM.
