These days I've been trying to watch movies from my computer, which has been presenting me with a problem that consists in shutting down suddenly and not being able to work for several hours continuously -in worse cases, sometimes it doesn't even turn on at all. And since the machine has been behaving unexpectedly well lately, I have taken the opportunity to watch the movie The Witch, a movie that, being from 2015, has stood the test of time.

What is the movie about?

The Witch is about the story of a family of puritans of the 15th century, who decide to leave the village to which they belong to move to a place very close to the forest, but they had no idea of the existing danger until they are attacked by a woman who is a practitioner of witchcraft, who is living in the depths of the place.

Opinion

The film is interesting, it has many things that make us keep our attention at all times, such as its style of direction, photography, editing and performances; but the most outstanding is its story, or rather, the message it wants to convey or insinuate, and that is about what we humans are capable of to achieve our mission, to achieve power or possessions.

This film deserves to be seen, and maybe its main purpose (if it was) to terrify people is not to do so, but rather to make us think about what I mentioned before. And maybe that's the point, to make us see that terror in a different way, in an unconventional way that is more when our human nature drives us to do anything at the cost of whatever it is.

Without further ado, I bid you farewell until the next installment. And if you have already seen the movie, don't forget to leave your opinions in the comments box, I will gladly read them carefully to give you an answer.
