The metaverse and the end of the world nation-states
As we all know, just a few weeks ago the news spread quickly through all social networks about the creation of a metaverse by Mark Zuckerberg's company, which tries to emulate a world in which all its participants can have an alternate life to the real one or maybe even replace it, since in this world they can do all kinds of activities such as studies, work, entertainment, among others ... It has no launch date so far and may require certain conditions to carry it out as it must have two essential things, high-speed Internet and / or virtual reality glasses. And these two factors are more present in the first world countries because their economies allow the constant renewal of electrical appliances. Another of the things that can also contribute to start is the early launch of 5G technology, a technology that promises many things for the highly advanced it is and the benefits it brings.
Apparently this approach is not new because we have seen it in series and movies like Matrix and its fourth installment that appeared just a few days ago, or in its case, video games like Second-Life, as its name suggests is a video game for computers where participants can create an avatar in their own way to develop a life within a virtual community space. Another similar game is Habbo, but with a simpler gameplay.
Now, why did he insinuate in the title that it is the end of the world's nation states? Simple, because if we look closely at the activities that occur today in social networks these have become a means of indoctrination in which we are sowing ideas of all time as the rivalry between "millennials and crystal generation", the "politically correct", "gender ideologies", and stop counting ... ideas that are shaping our way of acting and thinking, and the longer the more they achieve their goal. On the other hand, it must be said that they are the main means of obtaining information for young people, since they have replaced traditional media such as radio, written media, etc., and since they are more exposed, they suffer their effects, so they are gradually abandoning the old ideals such as homeland, nation and even love of neighbor (just review the comments in the publications to realize it) for those in which these same companies.
Another of the things that have helped to demonstrate the veracity of these manipulations have been the documentaries and news documentaries where the denunciations by former workers exposing the manipulations of the masses through social networks for the aforementioned purposes accompanied by the commercials are exhibited. Let us also remember what happened to a famous president of the United States, who had his profile accounts suspended when he was about to finish his term and had no right to reinstate them on the spot.
In short, we are in the middle of a battle that is being waged in our minds with the help of these media, and we may see the effects in a short time, and with this metaverse project promoted by one of the most discredited companies in the world in terms of privacy and information management could bring serious problems.
But as for you, do you trust in the proposals of this company, in this project? Do you think it will affect us in any way? What is your vision of the subject? Write your answers in the comments box, so we can share ideas and perspectives.
See you in a future installment. See you then.

The open-source "Metaverse" project is worth viewing. I am from 3D imaging background. The applications of 3D virtual environments are coming up with time. Although these are not actual 3D images that holograms create, these techs may find applications in many disciplines. I agree with you - I don't trust FB and its owner. Their prime interest is business and not doing good to society. Watch out for my future posts on 3D imaging and virtual displays.
