I remember the first time I got to see the movie Matrix, it was just when I was about to finish my adolescence and just at that time the premiere of this movie was being promoted in theaters in 1999. At that time, when I saw the scenes that Warner Bros. provided courtesy of the media -since social networks did not exist and the Internet was just beginning- were totally dazzling, so much so that it generated a lot of interest for its staging along with its photography, special effects, and even more, for the theme that was being presented to us. For any film lover, this movie had to be seen at all costs, especially for teenagers, its potential audience.

The first The Matrix movie came to impress thanks to its story and special effects.

Once when I saw it on the big screen of one of the most important cinemas in my city, it gave me a great experience that shocked me a lot, but as the years go by, one changes in terms of ideas and information to evaluate well what we usually see and just a few years later I got to get a great masterpiece as Ghost in the Shell, Japanese animated film of 1995, and which is said to have been of great inspiration for the Wachowski brothers (who later went on to make sisters), a story that raises questions about the state of consciousness, the soul and identities in the world of the network; All this approached in a very serious and reflective way, which in turn allowed him to distance himself from the manga on which the work was based by having a different approach, and that the Wachowski did their thing for The Matrix was more digestible for the great masses of viewers, especially the American. And today, 22 years after the premiere of the first part of this installment followed by two others, the already known Wachowski sisters come to present the fourth part entitled: The Matrix Resurrections, a film that according to those who have already seen it is somewhat strange because its story does not follow in some ways the narrative and proposal of the previous ones.

Ghost in the Shell, a 1995 film that presents us with a matrix in which we also live.

Matrix Resurrections presents us as a background the world of capitalism and its large corporations, as these giant companies with their respective departments of market and social study create products to then be launched to market to an audience addicted to consumerism, and to achieve that these same continue to acquire what is provided to them, as in this case video games, series or movies, must generate a hypnotic effect to maintain the concentration of the viewer to what is shown to them, using special effects, image and sound editing among other elements that make it up, in order to indoctrinate the masses to remain faithfully attached to the system that governs them, and that only a few manage to realize things by questioning everything and in doing so takes them to another point about what to do now before this new reality that is being seen, how to fight against all that, or how to beat the same system. In the end, according to the film itself, it seems that no, that the system is so powerful that it manages to regenerate or reboot itself and that no matter what we do we cannot get out, that the only thing left is resignation or to create our own philosophy that allows us to stand on our feet to move forward and lead a life within it.

This may not sound encouraging but that is the point of view of the creators of this saga, the important thing is what we think and what we are going to do from now on.

If you have any opinion about it, please share it in the comments box, this way we can help each other with the exchange of ideas.

Without further ado, I'll see you in the next installment. See you then.
