Drawing and coloring a character from Super Mario Bros 2

First of all a cordial greeting to all those people who are reviewing this publication and especially to all my readers. This time I come to present another of my drawings that I have created for coloring based on one of the characters that appears in the saga of Mario Bros, specifically I refer to Super Mario Bros 2; a classic among video games that surely many know it and even have played it once in your life.

The main idea in making this drawing was not only to practice the pencil strokes as an exercise but also to test two types of colored pencils that are of different brands, one is of low cost called "Solita", while the other is of superior quality such as "Prismacolor". Both brands are available in the Venezuelan market but I have no idea if they are available in your respective countries, and if so, please let me know in the comments box, I will be very grateful.

Taking advantage that I have at my fingertips a collectible figure of this character what I did was to take it as a reference model for the development of the same on paper, the process was simple and somewhat slow because it had to seek accuracy in terms of appearance and dimensions, which for this we first create a sketch with a low level pencil in graphite, then remarked the same with another pencil to see the lines in a better way. Once ready, we will create several copies of the same drawing using blank sheets of paper that will be placed over the original and then expose them on a glass in a window and with the help of the light projected on top of these we will see the lines we must redraw. And already having the copies ready we proceed to color them with their respective colors, and as a result we will have two drawings with different tonality of colors.

With the respective images each one will be able to draw his own conclusions as far as quality, reason why this factor will be taken into account at the time of buying such materials.

As for the materials used we have the following:

• Prismacolor and Solita colored pencils.

• Graphite pencils 2H and HB.

• Eraser.

• Pencil sharpener.

• Recycled sheets of paper.
