A film for people with nerves of steel: Irreversible

Normally the cinema is considered for the vast majority of its viewers as a means of entertainment in order to have a good time, but since in the end it is an artistic medium, many authors want to tell stories in their own way and/or address issues that are not common or very uncomfortable for us; that is why, in this case that we will address below, the film named "Irreversible", can or should be seen for people who are tolerable to so much rawness shown in the images, which can disturb their viewers with very sensitive emotions. And to give us a better idea of what it is about, we will see below its plot in a synthesized way.

Plot

Two men get the terrible news that the woman who brings them together for love reasons has been raped by a stranger in an alley, because of this, both decide to seek justice by their own hands, for which they will make a relentless search for the victimizer who is hiding in a gay club located in the most dangerous areas of the city of Paris.

Opinion

Irreversible is a film that is well told and more for being told in reverse, in addition to the style of direction proposed by the same director where through the lens of the camera makes or wants to convey the idea that it has a personality, as if it were a kind of spectrum that walks from one side to another to travel through the air with the intention of prying into the privacy of the characters. On the other hand, we also have the symbolism of night and day, in which darkness is a temporary space for the human being to unleash all his repressed passions unlike the day, where everything is stillness, peace and order.

As for the famous rape scene, in my case I was not disturbed because it was clear to me that it was all acting.

In short, an original and controversial story for its content, which at times reminded me of David Lynch's Blue Velvet.
