3 multimedia players that should not be forgotten (early Internet era)
A long time ago, when the Y2k era had just passed (supposedly a computer computer computer trickle that would generate a worldwide catastrophe), just starting the year 2000, many of us used the PC to listen to music or simply watch videos in different formats, among which were: rpm, avi, divx, midi, among others; of which we will now show which were the compatible players that were used to be used.
RealPlayer
RealPlayer (which later became RealPlayerOne, with payment option), was one of the players that used to be used but was not so popular compared to the others, perhaps because it did not have a great marketing that made them known among users. This program allowed us to play both audio and video files (it even had its own video format).
Winamp
This was undoubtedly the king of programs for music playback on our PCs, as its simple aesthetics and ease of operation made it very attractive. Its direct competition was always Windows Media Player, which had the support of Microsoft and even so the attempts to copy it did not reach the level of its competition.
Quicktime
If Microsoft had Windows Media Player, then why a rival company like Apple could not have one like Quick Time. Quick Time, always allowed us to play music and video files, and like RealPlayer it even had its own file extension.
Bonus
Divx
Another program that allowed us to play videos, and also had its own format; and so much was its advantage that allowed us to compress this kind of files while maintaining a good image quality.
All of these I got to use at the time they came out, and of which I have fond memories of having used them, to which I must confess that my favorite was always Winamp for its simplicity.
And as for you, which of all these programs did you get to use? What memories do you have? Share your experiences and impressions in the comments box.
Without further ado, I'll see you in the next installment.

Winamp was my favourite until I switched to VLC. I've also used RealPlayer and QuickTime, though, QT was annoying at times.
