Since we are facing the crisis of the pandemic Covid-19, we are forced to stay indoors. More people become jobless and poor families became poorer. And most of the things we normally do, became available online. Online shopping for goods, online business, and even online classes.
Below are the effects of online classes based on my first-hand experiences.
Unavailability to do household chores
-Since we are focus on atending are online classes, we are forced to ignore doing the chores we usually do when we are at home. Leaving it unattended, our parents were forced to do it even though they are working.
Attention span becomes shorter
- When we were at school, sometimes are attention diverts to something else during class hours. We make conversations to our seatmates and others. When someone goes out of the room, your eyes unintentionally follow. Since, we are at home, more distractions occur thus shortening our attention span. It became harder to focus on the lessons and to catch up with the others.
Higher Electrical Bill
- Computer, Laptop, Tablet, Cellphone, and Wi-Fi. All of them needs electricity in order for them to run. And in attending online classes, Wi-Fi and the one or more gadgets mentioned above are necessary. Normal classes usually starts from 7am until 4pm or 5pm, with a lunch break. With the number that number of hours, the hours of usage of the gadgets are the same as well. Therefore, compared to the previous electrical bill when normal classese were being conducted, the payment right now for the consumation of electricity is quite high.
Submission of requirements > Actual Learning
- Right now, students are not really learning the actual lessons but they are learning how to submit their requirements before deadline. Since everything is conducted online. they can easily do some research about the right answers for their homeworks and exams. Its not about learning, its about compliancy.
So what do you think?
I agree with that, having them a stressful life and full of negativity because they are not in an actual school or interacting physically with their classmates, they realized that how to be it that way, and whats happening to the real education, and also in home lots of distractions amd cannot focus in the discussions. They need to accept the fact that this the new normal, and need to cope up with.Better have a perspective that education is still important for a student.
