2 years ago, I drew this for a steemit contest of butterfly art. An amateur drawing but I could still remember the day I sat down with my box of colour pencils, reminiscing my ancient school days of drawing these. I still drew the same :D #Reflections

Freewriting... It is an interesting exercise. When the mind goes to places it has been to or explore new places of wonder. When the thoughts *tease* us in ways that bring glee to our hearts with imagination that goes beyond our limits. We could dig and *study* deep into them or we could stay as shallow as we want to. Freewriting allows our minds to fly *free* like a bird in the sky or locked up in a cage. It is all up to us. We can write in *short* sentences, long ones or in…

A little blue bunny, crocheted last year with acrylic yarn. It started with an egg shape before the eyes and ears were attached. This bunny has no legs, and so he sits in the cup. Bunnies, although cute, are considered pests in some places but they are still adorable :) #Crafting

Sometimes we succeed and sometimes we fail. Sometimes we win and sometimes we lose. And it is through failure and defeat that we learn. We learn to be humble and we learn humility. We learn to be patient and we learn to persevere. We learn from failures and we learn to learn. #Reflections

Sewing skill I first learnt how to sew during my school days as it was mandatory. It was coincidentally called "Living Skills" class. At the age of 15, there wasn't much feel to it and we didn't appreciate the significance or importance of learning such skill. We just learnt as we were taught. We learnt the different stitches that are commonly used such as the running stitch, invisible stitch, blanket stitch and back stitch. We learnt how to mend and we learnt how to sew up…

It helps to indulge in foods that make us happy, such as chocolate :) One of my favourites, Ritter Sport chocolates. Currently in my jar, cornflakes and dark chocolate variants. Absolutely yummers when you want that chocolate kick. What is your favourite chocolate?

One of those days What do you do when you don't feel it? When nothing entices you and nothing moves you? All you want to do, is to lie down on your couch and do nothing? What do you do when nothing motivates you? Not even to do the things that usually makes you happy? Why do we feel this way sometimes, I wondered? It is not explainable. I guess, that is how humans are, with all the complexities of mixed feelings and emotions, unexplainable thoughts and actions. But when the…

It is still good to be here I was thinking just this morning, about this place. This place, which I was invited to, inspired to join, by the amazing ladies - @wakeupkitty , @gertu13 , @heartbeat1515 . Coincidentally, @wakeupkitty had written very recently, with the first sentence being a question "***Is it worth writing****, still worth posting on read.cash?*" https://read.cash/@wakeupkitty/readcash-is-a-database-by-now-df046b13 "*Worth*" can be subjective when it comes to…

I tried my hands to fry up some calamari today for dinner and I was quite happy with the result. Cleaning the squids was an experience in itself . And then with beaten egg and a mix of corn flour with wheat flour and spices, the frying was another cool experience when we hear the sizzle of the oil as the calamari pieces turn golden. Not bad for a first try. Yummmm. More to come :) #Homecooked

My current favourite and surviving succulent - Pink lady or also known as turtle vine. It was a gift and was given to me a few weeks ago. I am happy that it is still living :) It grew quite tall and I snipped the tip and replanted them. It continued to live. The leaves are tiny, soft green and the back of them is purplish pink. Sweet sweet little ones.

Everyday, the sky looks different, it is like a new painting for us to enjoy and appreciate everyday. Never do we see the same sky. Some days are pastel hues and some days the colours are so bright like this one yesterday, which had orange written right there. I was thinking of Ed Sheeran's song, the moment I saw this. "I see fire...." It just pumps you up for the day.
