Freewriting... It is an interesting exercise. When the mind goes to places it has been to or explore new places of wonder. When the thoughts *tease* us in ways that bring glee to our hearts with imagination that goes beyond our limits. We could dig and *study* deep into them or we could stay as shallow as we want to. Freewriting allows our minds to fly *free* like a bird in the sky or locked up in a cage. It is all up to us. We can write in *short* sentences, long ones or in twisted sentences that nobody could understand. We could write a story, our personal story, about anything and everything or perhaps nothing at all. Sometimes, words flow like running water but it can also trickle from a drying pipe. When it trickles, don't fret. Just take a look at the sky and who knows we might a spot an *eagle* or a blackbird or perhaps an object flying by. We can then freewrite about them. If we are seated by the window, we can take a look outside and look for sources of inspiration. See picket fences? Write about it. See a dog or a tree, write about them. If we are indoors, we can take a look at the objects around us and think of a story. It doesn't have to make sense. It is freewriting after all. If we have a cat, we can pause a bit and scratch the back of her ears or the underside of her chin and listen to her soft *purring* while we type away. For an added experience, how about enjoying our freewriting with our favourite cuppa or a plate of our favourite *spaghetti*? Marinara, Bolognese, Aglio Olio, Carbonero, Pesto, take your pick. Don't like *spaghetti*? Choose a snack that you like or just freewrite about it. You can freewrite from your *phone* or laptop, whichever you prefer. I like the sounds of my keyboard and a bigger screen than my phone, so the laptop is my choice. I always imagine typing away on an old fashioned typewriter, you know the kind that goes tak-tak-tak-tak. I do like the feel of pressing the keys and sounds of them tapping away.

Take our phone or laptop, go to our favourite spot. Set the timer and type away, whatever that comes to mind. Most importantly is to have fun and let our imaginations run wild but we can choose to walk tamely too, whichever suits us.
