Hi i would like to present 1 of my favorite dish its called Laing... laing is made of dried taro leaves (gabi leaves) with coconut milk..
How to Make Ginataang Laing
During drying process other types of leaves might have gotten mixed in,carefully check the dried gabi leaves for any other stray leaves and discard it.
Two ounces of gabi leaves might look a little but the dried leaves will absorb a lot of the liquid thats why it will expand during cooking process.
It also can be prepared with shrimp or crab meat, dried fish or if you want a pork belly strips is also possible.
Please do not stir the gabi leaves in first 15 to 20 minutes of cooking process to prevent the itching sensation.
After that slowly or gently push the leaves down into the coconut milk to soften.
You can adjust the spiciness by decreasing the number of chili peppers or its up to you if you want more spicy you can add more chop chilies..
