Self love and selfishness

I asked the same question in my classical poetry's class and my instructor mentioned '' this is one of philosophical question and i am unable to answer this''. But it still struck in my mind. I am searching for the answer.

Meanwhile,I will try to cover these two terms with my own perceptive and understanding.

Self love:

Love is Umbrella term which means devotion and it relates with caring nature. Whenever it comes to love our heart get softens and our eyes get filled with water of warmth and we feel tranquil in our character. Self love is caring behaviour. Self love is doing everything which gives you satisfaction but it does not mean to harm anyone else boundaries. Self Love teaches us to respect and to give love to every human being because love make our heart soft.

Selfishness

Selfishness simply means ''mean''. It has nothing with love. It is disturbance for love. We can say that Selfishness is ''creating your own world where you can not see what is good and bad, in short you are metaphorically blind.''

Being mean is feeling of jealousy and egoistic behaviour, you might say that selfishness is love but it is not. In fact, in selfishness you even forget your own personality and one person does not care for the boundaries of other human beings.

Closing thoughts:

Self love is feeling of tenderness and warmth for own personality but one can only has self love if he/she learn to love other.In short, self love is humanistic behaviour towards all humans.In Contrast,Selfishness is living only in spell where one person considers himself above to anything else.In race of life we sometimes forget where is the boundary of self love and selfishness. Love is eternal so we should Go with LOVE.
