Hey everyone! I have decided to write this in a fresh article because it could be come a really messy and long article as I continue the polkadot testnet for the beta DEX site , ZenLink for the next 12 hours. Apparently I only have 2 times left to test it free before the air drop promotion ends, and if you are interested to get some points for some air drops, click at this link! You will at least get 3 points for air drops like mine.
Let's continue with the test, shall we?
Free Test Tokens
According to the official medium post from Zenlink, once we join as beta testers, we are allowed to collect tokens for testing, twice a day, so that for those who has zero experience in DEX could have a feel how that works.
To get the free tokens for testing, the "faucet" icon on the top right of the browser after you got your wallet set up and your first 3 points collected is your access. If you have never done the first 2 steps just yet, please read my previous article to get your polkadot wallet set up for the experience before you continue reading through.
Remember it has already said it plainly, these tokens have no value (just yet) and it is all about testing the experience and not for your safekeeping. Your main target is to get the score points on your top right in order to win the actual token airdrops so that you will have a head start chance on polkadot compared to others.
Since I already got my wallet set up, let the testing begin!
Once you click it from the faucet this will be shown to you.
Head over to see if your test wallet of compatible chains have received the test tokens or not.
Almost instantly, it is already in the wallet!
Next, like the BSC chain's DEX that I have shared before, you will need to practice providing liquidity; however the test faucet only gives you their native token, ZLK, and you will need to learn how to swap it so that you can practice creating Liquidity Pairs to further your experience.
Since it is just a testing, I shouldn't swap all I have. If I understand correctly, this native site's token $ZLK will be needed across every DEX's experience, and since I don't need to try out too much, I am just going to use... perhaps 25% of my $ZLK for $USDT for liquidity pairing before you need it for other activities later as well.
So 200 it is!
So far I think its simple spaced out design for easy reading is pretty ok, because I am actually using a desktop browser to try this out.
Ah... and here it is!
Yes, you cannot swap all your ZLK for USDT, nor should you use too much ZLK to do the pairing because the ZLK will be behaving as the gas fee as well. But if this is actually the fee amount, then this is definitely even WAY cheaper than BSC chain.
The interesting part of added security compared to Metamak, is that apparently every time when you do a transaction, you will require to type in your password. I think there's good and bad. Good is the additional security, and bad is it will be a little hassle if you are in a hurry.
Of course, you can always ask the wallet to remember it the next 15 minutes to reduce annoyance.
Once that is done, check the wallet again and you will see you are now ready to practice providing liquidity.
So in order to earn a total 5 scores for air drops, it is required to fulfill the steps above so that you will earn the best of it.
To get that done after swapping, head over to the Pool page to provide some LP.
And here is where you will practice adding them together.
Depending on which side is the biggest amount for pairing, always choose the smaller amount so that all the larger amount such as $ZLK will be able to recalculate and extract just the right amount for the pairing to succeed.
Click on the Supply to go ahead.
And confirm it if you are happy with the pairing amount
Once thing good about this site is that it has eliminated the extra "unlock contract" steps compared to other pool DEX sites like ETH and BSC, which requires you to use even more gas fees along the way. Even one step lesser brings better experience to newbies.
There are also other pairs you can do if the faucet allows you to collect for more testing, but if you want to practice unpairing, simply head back to the pool.
Oh, but I found a tiny unfriendly bug where it doesn't refresh well if you click "Pool" again. To have a quick walk around, simply click "Swap" and then "Pool" and you get the User Interface refreshed correctly.
So now there's is an option for removing the pair;
with an option on how many percent of unpairing you like to do.
I have decided to remove 50% so that I can try using other USDT to pair with some other tokens.
And simple as it is, just confirm the removal
If all the tasks are done correctly, approximately 8 score points is collected.
How about you?
Do you find this test and gamifying test experience is rewarding enough for you to actually gain airdrops later?
