The Knuth engineering team is pleased to announce the release of the version 1.4.1 of the Knuth Javascript API/library. With this release we have completed the full support for TypeScript language making Knuth the first Bitcoin Cash node-as-library for TypeScript programmers.
TypeScript is a programming language that adds optional static typing to the Javascript language. TypeScript is designed for the development of large applications and transcompiles to JavaScript.
At Knuth we know that the community of Javascript programmers is divided into 2: those who support adding static typing to Javascript using TypeScript and those who think that this is unnecessary and undermines the productivity of Javascript.
We do not take a position and we want to support both sub-communities, providing direct access to our node using the Javascript language for those who do not like the overhear of transcompile from TypeScript and also we want to provide static typing information (TS) for those who do prefer it.
So the TypeScript library is now part of our family of APIs: C++17, C, C# and Javascript But this does not end here, our plan is to provide libraries in other popular programming languages: Rust, Python, Java, Go, Eiffel, ...
We encourage TypeScript programmers to download our library and use it exhaustively. We are open to suggestions for improvement.
Thank you!
Knuth is open source software that needs community support to continue its development. Therefore we would like to thank the generosity of our supporters and that of the entire Bitcoin Cash ecosystem. You are the ones that allow us to move forward with our goal, which is everyone's goal at Bitcoin Cash, which is to be the Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System for the entire world.
