I was preparing for my SM scholarship exam earlier when a thought suddenly entered my mind; a laptop ๐. I just remembered that I don't have a laptop to use especially I will take a computer degree in college.
Although we have a desktop pc here in our home, I can't pack it all in my bag and just assembled it later on at my school ๐. That will be funny and embarrassing, and inconvenient of course. Another thing, our computer is bought a long long time ago where dinosaurs still exist, jk. Just an exaggeration, but what I mean is my computer is already outdated and often lags from heavy system workloads, and adding other software I need in programming will make it more suffer.
That's why I immediately took a rest from studying and browse the internet to find some affordable laptops. But upon searching, it feels like I am floating in the air as I am not familiar with the specs I saw on product descriptions. This is where I ask someone to help me to choose the proper specs for the laptop I am planning to buy. He suggested choosing laptops that have Intel 3 and Intel 5 10th Generation, or Ryzen 5 processors.
This is what I've found:
Processor
Intelยฎ Coreโข i5-1135G7 Processor 0.9-2.4 GHz (8M Cache, up to 4.2 GHz)
Operating System
Windows 10 Home
Memory
8GB DDR4
Display
14โ LED-backlit Full HD (1920 x 1080) 16:9
Graphic
Intelยฎ Iris Xe Graphics
Storage
Solid-state drive: 512GB PCIe SSD
The price is โฑ49,995 or $1043.97 which is expensive but if you will look at the bigger picture, you can do different tasks at the same time with ease. Nobody wants a device that is sluggish or crashing when doing work, right? In addition, you can use this for a longer period because of its good and higher specs thus, saving you money and time. But in case the budget is tight and I am not able to save enough BCH to buy this laptop, I have another option.
Processor
Intel Core i5 - i5-1135G7, 2.40 GHz
Operating System
Windows10 Home
Memory
4GB DDR4
Display & Graphics
Nvidia GeForce MX350 2GB GDDR5 VRAM
Storage
1TB HDD + 256GB Solid State Drive
The price is โฑ37,999 or $8352.56 which is almost โฑ20,000 cheaper than the first one. Their only difference is RAM and display. I will think about this carefully ๐ค.
What's my plan now?
I will take BS Computer Science in college and there are still 3-4 months left. I will use this remaining time to grind and earn enough BCH to buy a laptop. I might published articles daily and I post often in noisecash.
I am planning to save $10 per day for 3 months to accomplish this goal. Sounds challenging but nothing is impossible. I will try my very best to reach this goal and be your future programmer ๐จ๐ผโ๐ป.
PS: Sana maging mabait sa akin si Rusty for 3 months ๐ฅบ.

I think you will get there in no time if you keep writing here and in noise.cash :) The 8GB RAM would make a difference. 4GB seems so ancient nowadays. What helped you choose the 2 brands? I am thinking of getting one myself. My current one has a patch of leaf mark on the screen.
