Microsoft’s Internet Explorer will be shut down very soon - Next year Microsoft will end support for Internet Explorer 11 via its Oce 365 software and services. For precisely one year, Internet Explorer 11 will no longer be provided for Microsoft online services such as Oce 365, OneDrive, Outlook and more on August 17th, 2021.

Microsoft To Shut Down Internet Explorer In August 2021 Apart from this, the company announced earlier this year that its Microsoft Teams web app will end support for Internet Explorer 11 on November 30th 2020. Microsoft is cutting off Internet Explorer support on its Teams network before the August deadline. In an ocial blog post, Microsoft said, “For degraded experiences, new Microsoft 365 features will not be available or certain features may cease to work when accessing the app or service via IE 11.” This means the software will stop operating on Microsoft products including Oce 365, Outlook and others after August 17, 2021.

The company has also said Internet Explorer will stop working on teams from 30 November 2020 before that. Furthermore, Microsoft’s Edge Legacy mobile app ends support on March 9, 2021. The mobile app won’t receive any more new security updates after that date. The legacy version of Edge will no longer get security updates after the end of the support period.

Microsoft has switched current Windows 10 users to a new browser built on Chromium Edge, and the company says new apps and improvements to future Windows functionality will also support the latest browser Edge.
