"To see is to believe." Seems fine, but awkward in reality.

For most people, for them to believe in one thing, it's very important for them to see it first by their naked eyes. But in reality, its not practical! Eyes alone, can't sense it all.

Why?

Basically, there are plenty of things around us, that we cannot see, but we know its actually there.

Let's not talk about, time travel, ghost, aliens, or UFOs'. For me, that's also a complicated topic to discuss. Let's just have a plain and simple arguements.

First, let's talk about the air. Can someone see pure air by naked eyes? Normal person like me can't. But of course, even if someone agree or not, air is there. We are not alive now, without it.

Let's get a little bit deeper!

Probably most of us knew about oxygen and carbon dioxides. Right? Can you see it? Of course, you can't, by normal eyes. If you don't believe, that there are oxygen and carbon dioxide, I'm pretty sure that there is something wrong with you. So just on this arguement, "to see is to believe", fails here.

Let's have another example.

We do believe in gravity, right? How about magnets? Of course. Magnets are commonly use on speakers.

What's with the magnets?

Magnets, if with same polarities, deflects. And if with unsame polarities, attracts. It is cause by magnetic force or the term magnetism. Can we see that magnetic force? By simple look of naked eyes, of course nope. But we can see the effect, that proves it is really there. You can actually felt that force on actual experience too, even if we can't see it. Same with gravitational force, we can't see it but we surely experiencing the effect of it. We're all floating, and maybe dead without it.

Now for more familiar one.

Can you see sound? Can you see music? Probably not, but you can surely hear it. Unless you're a deaf. That proves, it really exist.

Just like thunder, you can hear it very loud but you can't see it. Cause thunder, is just the sound of lightning.

Not yet satisfied, hope this one will do the thing.

Can you see that electricity in wires in your house? Of course, the answer is again a "no". But your pretty sure there's an electric current there, especially when the lights is on. So you won't attempt to play with it by your hands, if you're in a right mind.

Now let's step in a slight complicated matter.

We can memorized something, right? We can remember something, right? I think, most of us remember and agree, that the answer to 1 + 1 is 2. But can we see our memory by naked eyes? We are sure that we have it, even if we can't see it. Normal people have heart and brain, that's why.

So if we apply, "to see is to believe" in an arguement with memory, and you are a solid believer of that saying, what do you think?

As we can see, there are lots of things around us that can't be seen by our naked eye only. But we can still hear, smell, and most of all felt it. That's why we have other senses, cause the ability of the eyes can't see everything.

Happy reading and writing everyone!

Thanks

Thanks Avie!

I also thank the teacher that taught me this arguements.

But even before that, I do believe in the word invisible. The word is there, not just for nothing.

So the existence of some things is there, though its not really visible via our naked eyes.
