Vinegars are well known used for cooking, around the globe. From salads to main dishes. In fact, it is used for food preservation too.

But it doesn't stop there. Here are some other wonderful things that a vinegar can do. So cheap but so powerful!

Window glass cleaner

Remove any dust from the window using a cloth or paper towel. Apply vinegar solution.

Mix equal parts of distilled white vinegar and water. Apply to windows with a sponge. Wipe clean using a squeegee. (Remember to wet the squeegee blade first so it won’t skip.)

Don’t wash windows in direct sunlight because the sun can overheat glass and cause streaking.

Don't mix vinegar with bleach, it produces toxic chlorine gas that is potentially lethal to inhale.

Boiling a cracked egg

When boiling a cracked egg, add some vinegar to the water — about 2 teaspoons to a quart of water. This will keep the white from seeping out.

Killing grass

Better than store-bought grass and weed killers. Pour full-strength white distilled vinegar directly on unwanted vegetation. Reapply as needed.

Keeping cut flowers fresh

To make Fresh flowers last longer, add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar and 2 tablespoons of sugar to the water in a 1-quart vase. Trim stems and change the water every few days or when water starts to get cloudy.

Hair rinse

After every few washings, remove shampoo buildup by rinsing hair with a solution of 1-2 tablespoons of vinegar (either white distilled vinegar or apple cider vinegar) and 1 cup of water.

Adjust the amount of vinegar to suit your hair type — using less vinegar for dry hair and more vinegar for oily hair.

A second rinse with plain water is optional. Hair will be silky and shiny.

To soften a paintbrush

Soak the paintbrush in hot white distilled vinegar until brush softens. Then wash with warm, soapy water.

For Deodorant and antiperspirant stains

Rub the underarm areas of white or light-colored clothing with white distilled vinegar, and then launder as usual. If the stain remains after washing, do not machine dry. Re-treat the area with vinegar and place garment in the sun to bleach.

And what I like most, as "Fever Reducer".

Apple cider vinegar is another age-old remedy used to help “draw out” the fever.

Apply cold compress to significantly reduce the temperature in one's body.

Add two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to four tablespoons of cold water. The vinegar acts as a heat remover. Mix the ingredients well.

Soak a couple washcloths in diluted apple cider vinegar and place them on your forehead and tummy or wrap them around the soles of your feet.

Alternatively, you can add a cup of apple cider vinegar to a warm bath.

In absence of apple cider vinegar, white vinegar, and cane vinegar may also be used.

Have a nice day!

Thank you.
