These days we have to be a little more careful because of our current situation. The pandemic hasn't ended so it's safer to stay at home as much as possible.
How about your cravings? You can just order or do it yourself. There are so many restaurant food recipes that you can watch and do at home. If you're not too lazy and you wanted to eat. It's simple - do it on your own. 😅
Here's a recipe I'd like to share to you guys. My kid's been craving for Tonkatsu and he wanted it so bad. I know how it feels to crave for something and it gives you headache when you can't have it. 😁
I don't have the step by step photos but I'll share how I did it.
Recipe : Pork Tonkatsu
Ingredients :
🔪 500 g pork chops
🔪 1 pc egg beaten
🔪 2 cups japanese bread crumbs
🔪 1 cup corn starch or flour
🔪 1/2 tsp salt
🔪 1 tsp ground black pepper
🔪 Oil for deep frying
Procedure:
🔪 Pound the pork chops to tenderize the meat. It also helps meat to cook fast.
🔪 Rub meat with salt.
🔪 Dip meat in beaten egg.
🔪 Dip into corn starch mixed with black pepper.
🔪 Then back into the egg.
🔪 Next, coat it with bread crumbs.
🔪 Deep fry until golden brown.
Tip 👨🍳 : Adjust heat from high to medium to low. The meat cooks better in hot oil over low heat. 😉
Sauce Recipe : Mushroom Pepper Gravy
Ingredients:
🍄 1 pc pork bouillon cube
🍄1 60 g can button mushroom (minced)
🍄 1 1/2 cup warm water
🍄 2 tbsp unsalted butter
🍄 1 tbsp Black pepper powder or ground pepper corns
🍄 1/2 tbsp corn starch
Procedure:
🍄 Dissolve bouillon cube and corn starch in warm water.
🍄 Melt butter in a saucepan.
🍄 Saute mushroom in melted butter and add pepper.
🍄 Pour in the pork bouillon and cornstarch solution.
🍄 Stir constantly until thick.
Tip 👩🍳 : Add water if it's too thick or, if it has a soupy consistency, allow water to reduce a little more or add a little bit of cornstarch. Make sure to dissolve cornstarch in water first before adding into the mixture to avoid lumps.
Then, after cooking all these, set up the plate by slicing the Tonkatsu into strips and drizzle gravy on top. Enjoy! 😉😘
I prepared this twice and it came out very tasty.... Every one loved it..
