Year 2031

Angel, a 26 year old orphan was sentenced with 9 years imprisonment for the murder of her foster parents' two children. She was 17 when the incident happened. The siblings had been brutally murdered in mid-December, 2021. She claimed to have witnessed the incident but it turned out that she has become the suspect who initiated the crime.

It has been nine years, now. And today is her last day. Brad, known to be her suitor, who was also convicted to 15 years imprisonment for the murder of the siblings committed suicide the night after his verdict. He was found hanging on the grills of his cell, a strip from his torn blanket coiled around his neck. A tiny paper telling "I am evil, I don't deserve to live.." was found on the floor believed to be his suicide note . But Brad's parents, especially his mom never believed in any of the accusations against him. He was a sweet loving son. He is someone who would never do such crime and would never end his life because he is a God fearing person.

Brad's mother was also in rage asking justice for his son. She thought there was a foul play and further investigations only showed he had committed suicide. His case immediately closed but still she insisted that her son is innocent.

Angel only wanted to have a complete family (a mom and a dad) that would care for her as their own daughter. And that they would just give all the attention to her. Mama Loretta is waiting outside to fetch her and bring her back home. After all that happened in the past years, Mama Loretta had forgiven her and understood that in her young age, she just needed some love. She was too young and envious and nobody understood her craving for so much attention. But Mama Loretta accepted her with all her heart.

Packing up her things, Angel recalled the very exact moment.

"Angel - her name is just like her face, so angelic. Very innocent girl who once told her friend that she has nowhere to go. Amber who is a year older than her, offered a home for her immediately when she said she needed one. Amber had a younger brother, Mark, he's only 16 years old.

Amber's parents were very accommodating as well and they agreed to adopt her as a working student at their home. She will stay and help in the household and the family will send her to school.

Mark and Amber were very dear to their parents, Loretta and Markus. Angel stayed with them and she was treated like one of them. Amber sincerely treated her as a sister. And Mark felt like she had two elder sisters.

Angel was so happy to have a family, but Amber always gets the most special gifts from her parents. They gave her gifts, too but not as much as Amber gets. She's always the extra. Just like when Amber and Mark gets and iPhone, she only gets a $150 android phone.

She would tighten her grip on her phone sometimes when she sees Markus playing basketball with Mark. When Amber kisses her mom goodbye before going to work. Or when the siblings make video recordings on Tiktok.

One morning the house was filled with commotion when Mama Loretta lost $200.00 from her hand bag. They never had any visitors in the past, nobody had entered the house except them, the family members. It never happened to them before. Markus had suspected Angel since she's the only stranger in the house. He instructed Amber to check her bag while she's away since they are roommates.

Early morning the next day, Mama Loretta brought Angel with her in the supermarket. She was so happy and excited to go with her that she almost forgot to comb her hair. More than excited coz she will be the one accompanying her. Amber with her brother and papa Markus took the chance to look for the lost money.

Amber then found a backpack in the corner of Angel's bed. It was heavy, but seems to be full of just her clothes. She was provided a space in the cabinet but never did Angel took the clothes out of her bag. Amber found nothing inside it but clothes but when her father tried to lift the bag, he felt a bulk on the base of the bag. He flipped the bag to find the opening but it was sewn from the inside. So clever!

Markus called Loretta immediately. The couple was so angry with Angel. She was supposed to be sent out on that house that very same day but Amber defended her and asked her parents to give her a second chance. The couple were good enough to approve of their daughters request. Ever since that first incident, Loretta always locked their door and even Amber and Mark's duplicate key to the master's bedroom were confiscated.

A few months later, the family seemed to have forgotten the issue. They started anew with Angel. They go out with her giving her fair treatment. She's also enrolled in an online class, all expenses paid by the kind couple. "

Amber kept on packing her things and came out of her cell. The policeman gave her her phone as she sat on the waiting area. She scrolled on the photos and found a Tiktok video of her with Amber and Markus... she recalled the last day of her lives...

"Angel woke up that day feeling so excited. She got up as early as 5:30 a.m. to prepare breakfast. She seemed so inspired. Mama Loretta and Papa Markus were happy to see the food all prepared and set for them. She woke up Amber and knocked gently on Mark's door for him to get up as well to have breakfast with them. They had a great time that morning. All smiling and the family seemed happy with her and the food she made for them.

"Did you cook all these, Angel?" asks Mama Loretta.

"Yes ma'am, I'm sorry I went over your fridge, I got up so early and I couldn't go back to sleep, so I tried a recipe from Youtube." she exclaims with her head bowed down.

"No, it's okay, Angel. I'm happy that you're learning to cook by yourself. I think you're a good cook!, I guess next time you'll gonna have to wake up early to cook my favorite food" Mama Loretta smiles at her.

Her face lit up from Mama Loretta's compliments. She's glad to see Papa Markus' enjoying the food she prepared. The couple will leave early for work. ..

Angel checks her social media account. She's filled with toxic comments from nine years ago. She didn't have time to deactivate the account since she was detained the day after the crime.

"10:30 a.m. Amber heads to the kitchen to find something to eat. She suddenly craved for some french fries. Mark went back to sleep on the couch after knowing his online class was cancelled.

Amber heard strange sounds from one of the rooms. She heard moaning sounds and it gets louder as she gets closer to the door of one of the guest rooms . Amber slowly twisted the knob and tried to peep on a small gap from the door. There she sees Angel kissing with a guy. The teenage boy looked so familiar to her. She was in shock to see Jam, her boyfriend kissing with Angel. Amber opened the door wide and called "Jam" in a low tone.

The two were surprised. Amber was pinned to where she was standing. She was totally stunned by the sight, speechless, unaware of her tears rolling down her cheeks.

Angel gave her an evil smile. Amber was only able to react when she sees her mom's hand bag. It was the one she hid in the master's bedroom. "How come, she was able to find the keys?", Amber thought.

Angel attacked Amber and pulled her long black hair. She shouted in pain. They fought hard while Jam started to ransack the bag but he found nothing in there except pieces of paper. Jam shouted at Angel for finding nothing in the bag.

He goes out of the room as he notices Mark seems to be waking up. Mark sits in the couch still sleepy and confused. He hears screaming, it could be Amber calling his name. Jam approaches him and slam a baseball bat in his head. He dropped on the couch with his head bleeding. Amber runs towards him and cursed at him. He turns around and slammed the bat in her head. The poor girl dropped on the floor but she's able to crawl near the door and shouted "Heee....", Angel slit her neck with a kitchen knife. Stabbed her repeatedly in anger.

Angel goes to Mark and said, "You're going with your sister in hell!" and gives out a loud evil laugh and stabbed him repeatedly until she's all satisfied.

Jam looks at the dead body of her girlfriend. He turns around and looks at the bleeding body of Mark in the couch. He seemed to realize what hell he got into with Angel. He runs away and left Angel alone. Angel shouted at him but he never looked back. Jam took off the gloves he was wearing and threw it away in the river. He goes home as if nothing happened. How lucky of him not to get any blood stains.

Angel calls Brad to come over. "Please help me, it's an emergency!" Brad is her suitor for two months. She never liked him but he's too innocent that he is so easy to manipulate. He comes immediately as he lives just a few blocks away from their house. He goes inside the house as Angel commands him through text. He saw the gruesome situation inside, he almost threw up. He looked around to find Angel but she hugged him tight. "Help me brad..someone broke in and tried to kill us." She was crying hysterically. But he noticed her removing the gloves and taking of her tops all wet with blood. He was disgusted but realized something is off with Angel. His shirt was filled with blood too, from Angels shirt.

"Help me clean up, please." Angel begs him.

He suddenly remembered about Angel texting him about how she wanted to have a killing spree at the house. He thought it was all just a joke. Now, it's in reality. He slowly head his way backwards to the door and ran away as soon as he gets out. His shoes all stained with blood. He shouted and ran home. He washed everything , clothes, shoes and took a bath. Curled himself in his bed out of trauma. He never came out of that room. Ever since that day, Brad never talked to anyone, even his mom.

Being left alone in the house, Angel managed to change and throw away her clothes in the river just a few meters away from their house. She placed it all in a plastic bag. She covered Amber's body with a blanket, closed and locked the doors. She then started slam everything with baseball bat. She goes up in her room and disarranged her bed throwing away the things all over. Then she hid and posted on social media that they are being ransacked.

Papa Markus decided to come home early because he was worried, Amber is not answering his calls. Mark, too won't pick up his phone. The doors are locked and he felt strange when he arrived. He kept calling his children's name but nobody is answering. He heads to the back door and kicked it to open. He looks down the floor being cautious because he really felt something is off about the strange silence in their home. When he gets into the living room, he was stunned seeing their white floor filled with red. He shouts seeing the bleeding Mark in the couch. He shouts "Amber!! Where are you". He continued to look around and found Amber covered with a blanket near the front door. He immediately called 911 and Mama Loretta to come home.

He looked for Angel and found her hiding in her wooden cabinet. Angel stands up and hugs him "Papa", she cried. "What happened here?!!", asks Papa Markus. He thought, it's strange how Angel shifted from calling him from "sir" to "Papa". He brings her down and the police officers arrived. Mama Loretta is in real hysteria seeing her children's dead bodies. Angel approaches her and called her "Mama, stop". She felt strange about how Angel calls her.

Police officers immediately started searching and investigating for possible motives that lead to the heinous crime. The parents asked Angel what happened and she would only say, they were being ransacked by three men. Everything in the house was a mess but they lost nothing. Police confiscated Angel's phone and there they found the last conversation with Brad. Her clothes wrapped in plastic was found clinging under a branch of wood in the riverside. They took Angel for interrogation and Brad was arrested.

During the hearings, Brad still couldn't talk properly and kept on crying so Angel got the chance to push the crime to him. A neighbor witnessed Brad coming of the house full of blood. After months of hearings, they were both convicted. She was given nine years and Brad fifteen years of imprisonment. They are both minors that time. The next day after verdict was read to them, Brads parents were grieving. They believed he is innocent but justice is not in favor of them. Brad was found dead on the next day.

Amber and Mark's parents were not satisfied by the verdict. They have taken two lives yet they are given only nine years of imprisonment. They didn't get the full justice they wanted."

Angel is now taken by the police out of jail. Mama Loretta and Papa Markus were waiting for her. She smiled, her eyes celebrating in victory. Finally, she will have the parents that will give her the things she wanted and the love she longed for. They hugged for a few moments. The couple are glad to see her. Went in the car and head straight home...

It's been a long time readers. I just watched an update from the Maguad Siblings who were brutally killed in their homes back in December, 2021. So, I decided to make a story inspired by it. It just made me feel upset again seeing the parents continue to grieve for the loss of their children. They haven't got the justice they wanted for their lost loved ones.

I'll attach the link of the video of the latest update of the case.

This video was taken after the result was out. The parents were not satisfied by it. We have a law in the Philippines protecting minors from the crimes they committed. I don't have time to research about it but, yeah, the law exist and it is unfair indeed, on my own opinion.
