Back When There's No Gadgets

What we're your memories of the past? Way back when there's no gadgets, no cellphones, no computers. Back in the days where papers and pens are more important than anything else.

Have you experienced keeping letters from your friends and loved ones? Have you kept old photos with special notes at the back?

Communication before was slow, but very exciting. But today is great! You can see a friend or family from a very long distance place thru video call. Just one click and you'll never have to wait and be frustrated. But isn't it nice to have letters containing sweet words and be kept for years?

Kids during the old days are more present outdoors than stay at their rooms meeting up with their virtual friends.

There's no such word as virtual friends before. No online meetings, no online class. You have to wake up early to go out and be present at school or work.

At home, when kids have a lot of free time, they go out and play with other kids. Come home with dirty shirts and bruises. I have not seen so much of this scenarios these days. Kids of today's generation tend to play video games. Not experiencing much heat from the sun nor splash of sea water.

Oh, how I miss the old days. Those times when you see more of real nature than just virtual nature. Technology has changed the world. Life becomes easier, time faster... shorter 😒.

Yeah those spiders are still a trend nowadays.. Same here in our place.. After the Lockdown we went home to our barrio to experience nature and have the kids play outdoors.. Its safer here than in the city.

Those old days are very memorable for us that kids these days don't get. We're happy without even a gadgets, only few of us can watch tv because some don't even have tv. I still remember playing street games with my childhood friends.

Yeah the old times are the best.. I would even hear those older than me talking about the 80's and 70's time.. I'm amazed by the value of goods and how many you can buy with a little amount.. The free milk and big nutribuns in schools.. and the 90's time is so much fun with simple toys we are happy. We play kitchen with empty cans and dried leaves πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚, we use bottle caps to make tambourines.. We learn to cook with firewoods at age of 6.. 😌

I can say that I experienced the transitional period of being a kid on the street to being a kid inside the house playing video games. I remember the good old days where I can freely do whatever I want. The innocence of being a kid

We also have some cool toys before like game boy, brick game, family computer.. But still there's good interaction unlike today, we are in one table but as if we're in different dimensions..no talking, just sitting there getting busy with our phones or computers.

Before, we're just more on playing outdoors like hide and seek, climbing on trees, play it, play house, it's really fun to be that innocent kid.. 😊 Play hide and seek, ride a bike.. It feels good bringing back the memories..

Youre right mom, the faster the technology had become more hightech in one snap, lives also is likewise like that. Fortunately i can still find my kids with bruises😁 and dirty hands but my older ones are the one i am most worried for their addiction on mobile games. Though they follow my rules but as they stay outside our home, they are more involved with frieds who are addicted in mobile games. I just wish their modular activity will start as early as possible so i can keep them at home.

Same as my eldest. He's too exposed coz his outdoor friends bring their gadgets with them and sometimes they play with their phones instead of doing the traditional games. As much as possible I don't want him to have some gadgets with him, he's only 7.. I also tried teaching him how to bake and cook to keep him away from it.

It on us how to control them.. Mine is 14 so he's a lil bit hard to control now. Remember, the one i punched😁. I can't prevent him from interacting with friends but i was hoping he will minimize his addiction with his cp. In his age, he already knows how to find money by joining laborers doing rip rap supports. Sometimes he carry some cutted woods for house and furniture use and the owner paid him a lot. He can buy his own garments so i can't threat him by words beacause i know that if i slipped my mouth and say unacceptable words, he may leave and i won't be able to guide him amymore.

That's right.. At my child's age there's still a chance that's why I'm trying to make him stay with us so we can guide him.. My parents are too gentle with my kids so theu get spoiled with things they want..
