LeBron James Offers Blockchain Education to Ohio Students in Partnership with Crypto.com

Crypto.com has sealed a multi-year partnership with Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James. As part of the consensus, the cryptocurrency exchange will support the I PROMISE program of the LeBron James Family Foundation that seeks to educate children in Web3 and blockchain.

LeBron James and Crypto.com to bring Web3 teaching to students in Akron, Ohio

A report from the Akron Journal has indicated that LeBron James and his namesake foundation have partnered with Crypto.com. Although the terms of the partnership were not disclosed, Crypto.com will be responsible for generating Web3-focused content for students, as well as providing financial support to the foundation.

The Foundation is currently helping well over 1,600 students in Akron, Ohio, by providing them with the resources and mentoring they need to achieve amazing grades in high school.

This consensus comes after Crypto.com paid $700 million to secure a 20-year naming rights pact for James' Los Angeles Lakers home, the Staples Center.

Commenting on the partnership, Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek mentioned that they were delighted to partner with LeBron James and his foundation to contribute to "educational and union strength development while providing the tools and input that will empower the next generation to build a better and more inclusive future.

Still, not all of his consumers remain happy with the high-profile partnership with LeBron James.
