It is important to create eco-sustainable technology

There's something I've been thinking about lately, and this is based on the fact that my life revolves a lot around technology, and not just cryptocurrencies, but technology in general. It's hard for me just to visualize a world without the internet, for example, but I do think it's necessary that we can do something so that all this progress we're having in terms of innovation is not so detrimental to the environment.

It is on this point that I think the most, because it is even one of the flags used by some governments to speak against the technology behind Bitcoin, which as we know requires a very large consumption of electricity worldwide to be maintained, if this is so, then, are there ways in which we can make use of this technology and not harm the planet? , perhaps if so, the acceptance could be massified faster, although I know that governments that are against it will always look for excuses to prevent its use to be massified.

I believe that alternatives can be found in everything that is technological so that they can be more viable with the world at large. For example:

I recently read that in Canada there was a project to build a building in which Bitcoin would be mined, as the heat that is released by the machines that mine the cryptocurrency would be used as heating for the entire building. Particularly this seemed like a good idea to me.

In the same way, I think that every project that is carried out, from whatever point of view, must go hand in hand with a plan to avoid damaging the planet and rather that beyond the end of the project itself, it generates a benefit. But this is only possible if the states themselves establish rules for that, because if not, we will continue on the way we are going, which is basically straight to self-destruction.

There is still a lot to do, a lot to build, but what I do have and I think that large corporations should keep in mind is that, that the technology that is created or used should not harm the environment, I do not think it is so difficult to do so.

Because definitely technology will not stop being used , so the most viable alternative, so that in a few centuries we will still have a planet is to make sure that we always think as part of a whole.
