What can you live on then, are there social benefits, and free food distribution? This is unthinkable in my country, Hungary. If you don't have a job, you don't know where to live and you don't have anything to eat. Here, in Hungary, women have to work for 40 years and men for 45 years and pay taxes and social security in order to be entitled to a pension. Thus, when we retire, we receive a pension for the rest of our lives, from which we can live and pay our expenses. How does the pension system work in your country?

in the Philippines, talking about pensions is a difficult topic. Not all Filipinos are professional. But I think pensioners retired at 60. My aunt was a former teacher so somehow, she lives on a decent amount with her pension. As for me, I am not working. I am a stay-at-home mom. Most Filipinos are earning below minimum wage.

in the PH, moms are not getting paid. since I am somewhere in Europe, my husband receives benefits from their government.
I do have a regular work. And I think taxes here are based on people's salary. Pension start at 60 but not all can received it, only those who has SSS or Social Security System.

In my country women work until 60 years and men until 65 years old. Then they receive a miserable pension. I live in Cuba.

Around 10 dollars or 20 dollars. If you have a good job then pensions are around 60 dollars.

I have been working independently online for about 25 years. Here in Venezuela, pensions are ridiculously pitiful, about $12 dollars a month, and if we take into account that 1kg of milk costs practically $10, then if an elderly person or a retiree buys 1kg of milk, they already enjoy their retirement from a month. It is for this reason that people opt for the informal economy, they work on their own selling things on the street, from coffee, to any number of things such as clothes, lunches, some are hairdressers, others paint nails, others are dedicated to selling phones used, people sell homemade cakes, pastries, sweets, juices and anything else you can think of. In this way they manage to obtain an average income of about $3 to $5 dollars a day, making about $100 a month. But here in Venezuela and in the 3rd world countries the economy and inflation is atrocious, socialism has destroyed the entire country, and that is why our people run through the Darien jungle fleeing from the infernal economy of this country.

People have to seek to sell something, generally it is food that they prepare at home, and those who have a relative abroad receive the $$$ that they send them, and with that they support themselves. But people like me who don't have family or friends outside to send us $$$ have a hard time. There are days when I only have 1 tablespoon of cooked rice to eat, here the water service only works once a week, so we have to collect water in containers and when the water arrives once a week, we have to be home at any time (sometimes early in the morning or when you're sleeping) to collect the water. It is a country that I do not like, but I do not have the economic means to leave it, it takes a lot of money to go to another country and at 55 years old and being alone it is not a good idea to leave what little I have (roof and something of food, even if it is little) to risk an adventure, I am not going to do it without at least having someone to receive me in another country and sponsor me for at least the first few months while I stabilize, so that is practically impossible for it to happen. So I have to fight battles daily, earning $0.25 to $1 here in noise, because I have used all the other sources of income that I have had, I recently sold my entire collection of splinterlands cards (blockchain game), which was about $120 to pay bills and food, and now I only have to publish on Hive ($1 weekly) and here on noise. Life is that hard for me @juditka80 , I work 12 hours a day to earn $1, I wake up at 9 am and go to bed at midnight, because my job is exclusively that of content, and I don't think at this age to dedicate myself to something else, I'm exhausted and also I don't want to do it. At this point in my life, I just want to live in peace without disturbing anyone and for nobody to bother me. This is my reality =(

I understand your query about posting, I notice some people here are just enjoying using this platform. And I am very happy with them, I have seen so many comments in their post that shows that they enjoy the company of their virtual friends. I post 6 posts per day and this site is my stress reliever every day. Rest well, sweetie, I know the feeling of being tired from work.

Here pension is only for those who have a job, dear, when they work, the pension will be there for them, for example soldiers who have pensions or others. For ordinary citizens, they do not get pension rights because pension money is not intended for someone who does not have an important position or from the government. In our country the retirement time is at 60 years and after that anyone can get the pension. The rule is also for Men and women. I don't know about taxes.

I am a grandmother of 2, un employed now but with small store at home. I used to work when my children are still studying and im proud i managed to sustain them alone coz i am a single mother. Now two of them are already working and i am taking care of their children. About pension here in Philippines? Only people who are members of Social Security System can avail pension once they reach 60 years old only if they complete the 120 months contribution requirement. And those who are working in government offices.

Very similar system in my country too as in whole Europe, I guess. But even those who never worked in life get a pension here, a minimum of about 200 euros. I know some people, women, who live on money earned by their husbands and never worked in their life. Myself I am working, but already many years I am a boss for myself, do I do not count work hours and one day I can work 18 hours a day, other day just 2 or take a free day whenever I want. It has some advantages and disatvantages too. But I do not imagine life without working. If you want comfortable life, you have to work.
Dear Judit, I am a social assistant, but now we are in strike because salaries dropped more than - 90% due to inflation. We are in very bad situation economically, financially, politically... Future is unknown for us. But We are living in the Grace of God. Have a great time.
