Just when you thought that gay lingo has stopped evolving, you're very wrong my dear! Through the years, or decades perhaps, gay lingo in the Philippines has significantly changed in the way it is spoken. During the 80's, yes and no was as basic as saying yes and no. But decade after decade, our young gay population has devised different methods on how to say it.

You might have heard the expression "plangak" or "plang!!" during the 90's. It just easily means "yes". Some other interpretation or ways to say it are; plangganang butas, planggacious or flang, changing the first letter from P to F. But how about the word "no"? They can just utter "wit" or some may say "dedma" or "keber". But "keber" also has a different meaning for them, it means they don't care. Other terms being used are "kebersoza" or even "carebears".

The next century unfolded and the evolution keeps going. You wouldn't really know how they came up with such terms, but you'll easily understand what they are saying with the movement or way they express it.

Nowadays, it's more classy. Yes can be "truth" or "throat" and No can be terms such as "fake news" or " was".

Below are few examples of yes and no in gay lingo. Are you familiar with them?

Yes or affirmative : go! / gora! / yesterday! / bet! / trulili / naman!

No : wititit / wirit / ex / was / nyoyaw

Have you heard of this one?

Pingas ang nguso mo pag natadyakan ko!

It's actually "ping!" for short, which means....yes!
