Karma Works All The Time
I just find it weird that when someone has offended me, I just won't utter a word or even pick a fight with him/her. I just let it pass, and just let karma do it's stuff. And most of the time, it actually works.
Though I admit that I prayed and wished that karma will struck him, most of the time I really don't mean it. Though I get mad, I know it's really bad for someone to wish him bad luck. The karma might bounce back to you.
So what I do is I just say a little prayer for those who have offended me. And pray also that they learn from the mistakes and misdeeds they are doing. I just let the Lord take care of them. I can easily forgive, but will find it so hard to forget.
So if you don't want something bad happening to you, always do good to others.
As the saying goes... Don't do unto others what you don't want others to do unto you.
Always remember that.
Who Needs 6G?
Just when everyone is complaining about 4G and everyone is waiting for 5G, now there's a thing called **6G**. Yep, even though 5G networks aren't fully built up yet, wireless companies have already started looking ahead and thinking about the next mobile communication network to come.
But who needs 6G anyway? Aren't the speeds we will be given once 5G is set up be enough for us?
Though I'm already at my 40's, the power of telecommunication still dazzles me. I still am so much fascinated how voice can be sent through a copper wire during the 80's and 90's. Much more with data transmission. You are able to download a full length HD movie in just less an hour. Just imagine how incredible technology is.
The 5G technology which we will be able to experience in the coming years, promises even more. I heard about automation, artificial intelligence and lower latency for data. The theory is, it should be at least 1gbs for download. I heard also that the upload should be the same as the download speed. That would be very useful for people who likes to show off their personal videos through popular video platforms. Another thing is automation and smart homes. I'm actually quite concerned about this because, if you're gonna consider the security of your house, you wouldn't want anyone hacking your system.
But would 5g just be enough for us? Do we really have to raise the standards of telecommunication? Will downloading a full HD movie for a couple of seconds be enough for us?
Well, if you're gonna ask me. It would really depend on who uses it. For me, I would say that there are three main users of the internet. The government, the business sector and of course us, the consumers.
For us consumers, I think it would just be enough having 5G. But for the government and the private companies that handles complex tasks and duties, 6G would surely be a big help. They can tap on the technology to efficiently manage everything, from traffic management to cyber security.
But 6G is still a long way to go. I'm not saying that it will come after a decade or so, but with the ever evolving nature of science and technology, who knows it could just be a few years away for us to experience it.
Can Dreams Have Continuations?
Crazy as it seems but this actually happened to me twice. The last of which happened only a week ago. And the first dream was a week before the second one, which is the continuation.
About a week ago, I completely forgot what I dreamt of. But there was a part of my mind that kept all the data or information from that dream. I was certain about it, because the time I woke up, I knew I dreamt of something but I couldn't remember it.
It was only after a week when I remembered it all. After waking up from a nightmare, the second installment of the whole story. And this is how it went.
The first dream was about a girl, around 7-9 years old, who committed suicide by jumping from the third floor of our house. I still can recall the voice of my neighbor, pointing to me the exact location where the girl jumped and where she landed. That's the first part.
Now for the second part/dream/nightmare, the whole picture came out. It started with some eerie voices from my house. All the lights were off as electricity was cut down because a storm was brewing outside. Suddenly i felt something cold upon my shoulder, and I can feel that someone was there with me, though I can't see them. Ofcourse I got frightened, so I immediately grabbed my rosary hanging from our Santo Niño Statue. It is a statue of the Child Jesus Christ, which is very popular in our country. But when I couldn't take anymore the fright, I ran outside of our house.
Though it was raining, I saw a woman just across the street. I went up to her, and before she was able to tell me something, a little girl just crossed my path running like a kid playing at the street. Then the woman spoke to me and she told me to follow the little girl. Then I realized that the little girl was the same girl who committed suicide in my first dream. It was her mother that I was talking to, and she told me to follow her child. But when I asked her why, she said so that I will know what life the little girl had and why she killed herself.
While I was following the little girl on a dark street, I suddenly found myself lost in a neighborhood so dark. No lights, no people. Just me and the stray dogs looking towards me and began running to catch me.
Thankfully I was able to wake up...gasping for air. I truly wouldn't know what will happen to me if I didn't wake up from that nightmare.
But one thing is for sure. That there are instances where a story in a dream can be continued through another dream.
This has happened to me before, and I want to find answers to why this is happening to me.
Half Bred Dogs
My dog died a few months ago because of the Parvo Virus. Since then, I never had the urge again to buy or ask for a dog anymore. The pain still exists in my heart, losing a very much loving dog.
Last month, my neighbor got a new puppy. It was a half bred dog, from an aspin and a dalmatian. I got envy of it, not because of the black spots that the dog has on his body, but I would really like to have a dog in my house since I'm only living alone.
Somehow, I got so amused with our neighbor's dog. It was so playful and so energetic. He often chases me whenever I go out to buy something from the nearby store. Sometimes, he would come in my house to play with me. The energy he has is somehow not found with other aspin puppies I have known of.
Could it be that he has the characteristic of a dalmatian or another breed, that's the reason why he has a different attitude? Would combining two breeds together result in a different kind of gene that results to a more energetic dog?
I have come to know other half bred dogs, but some of them get sick when they grow to their adulthood. They often wouldn't last their lifetime. So perhaps it could be that there are right combinations for breeds to produce we mannered dogs, and eventually more loving and caring dogs.
I hope our neighbor's dog grow up without getting sick. It really is heart breaking for an owner to lose his pet. It doesn't fade away easily. You'll carry the pain for a couple of months.
Someday, when that pain subsides, I hope I'll be able to get another dog again. So that someone could stay beside me and love me, especially during times of depression.
I love dogs more than cats. Dogs are more affectionate and loving. And they have traits that us humans also have.

Sorry For My Imagination
There is a belief, that everything is possible thru God. But, what if we apply it to our everyday lives? It would really be unimaginable.
What if reality is just one's imagination? It would really result in a major arguement. Coz if reality is an imagination, then the meaning of being real will contradict the same meaning of an imagination.
What if time is just a joke? We all rely on time for our everyday routine, but what if time cannot be measured? Will we just rely on the sun and the moon, to tell if we have to wake up in the morning or sleep at night?
I actually have a very big question. We often ask, what is at the end of the universe. What if the whole universe is just a small blob that our God holds in His hands? But then again, where is God? In heaven? But where exactly is heaven? And does the heaven have corners? What is at the end of it? Is there another supreme being that holds the whole heaven?
I know it's a sin to question God, but is it a sin to ask for facts?
Is there another dimension that we don't know of? Are there other dimensions, countless dimensions? They say the whole universe is so complex, that it's possible that in another dimension, someone is doing exactly the same thing what we are doing today.
They say nothing is permanent in this world and that change is constant. But until when? Where does eternity end?
I have so many questions in mind that sometimes, I ask for forgiveness if I have offended God. But I know time will come that I will soon find out the answers. As soon as I leave my physical structure, my spirit and my mind will be enlightened with what really life is. And why it was made.
To Err is Human
While I was searching for ways to find an income online, I came across a promo or should I say a giveaway for a secondhand phone which the owner would be giving as a token of appreciation for his Twitter followers. But before you win, you have to answer a question. And the one with the best answer will win the phone. And the question was, how do you forgive someone who has done you wrong?
Yes I know it is really easy to just say, forgive the person and eventually you'll be back to normal again as friends. But it doesn't work that way always. Some mistakes are really so hard to forgive. And some mistakes are obviously intentional. But how do you forgive? What are the ways of forgiving someone? Would it be enough to just accept the apology?
Some time ago, a close friend of mine accused me of being a theft. That experience literally changed my life onwards. It hurts so deep to think that a close friend of yours would make such accusation, when all those years, we have come to know each other so well. I suddenly became a stranger to him. And all the succeeding years, I have made it a habit not to be so close again to any of my friends. I still feel the pain until now. And after all the prayers I have made to God, I still find it so hard to let go of the pain.
So how do you forgive?
Maybe time will be the answer. Time heals all wounds they say. But you need to learn something from every experience. Yes, to err is human. But forgiving is not necessary for us, as only fate will be the other deciding factor of when and how you've finally escaped all the hatred we feel inside.
Always remember the golden rule. Do not do unto others what you don't want others to do unto you.

We all have our struggles. Every now and then, or even everyday, we face problems that seem to weaken our spirits.
I have already accepted my fate ever since. Not being able to graduate from college, the death of my mom, a 6-year relationship going to drain and now, a heart failure. Yes, it didn't come to me as a surprise when my doctor told me that I have Congestive Heart Failure. I just accepted it. I'm not sure about it, but there's something in me that makes me want to just accept things as they come. The important thing is, you're ready to face another day full of hope and with a smile on your face.
I have already learned the art of showing people joy, even in my deepest sorrow. I want to spend my life enjoying everything that makes me happy. I want my remaining years filled with laughter and cheer. Yes, I do cry most of the time, but it's just my way of letting out all the pain. Cried a river yesterday, forget about everything today and move forward tomorrow. A smile for me is worth a thousand tears. You may see me smiling at you, but hidden in it is the painful past that will forever haunt me.
Just keep smiling. It may not let others know how you truly feel, but it encourages them to smile back at you and give them positivity in whatever they do everyday.
As the song goes, "You'll see that life is still worthwhile, if you just smile". Happy weekend everybody!

Eleven Kids
During the 80's, it was but normal to have a family with 4-5 kids. If you hear someone having 10-12, you'll be astounded. But they were able to live fully, as the expenses and cost of living before was not that steep. Others would brag that they have such number of kids, like they can already compose a team in a basketball league.
Nowadays, having that number of kids would be a little shameful. It mirrors the poor state of our education system. Who would want to have so much kids but have less to offer? Birth control has not been a priority of our government, much like the way they educate people about sex education.
The past decade saw families adapting to the idea of just two kids in one family. They would be grateful if it's a boy and a girl. Three kids would already be a struggle. 4 means serious deliberations. 5 and up means something is wrong.
With our state of economy right now, where prices of essentials are spiking, we need to prioritize the quality of living for our children. They are the next generation, who would eventually pass on to the next generation the discipline that we must instill in each one of them.
Education alone is too pricey now. I attended college at 8K per semester, but checking on the same university now, it's around 100-150K pesos. And it's per trimester already, not semestral. Our public schools are not getting enough funds. Creating new schools, or even classrooms, will take years. Our teachers underpaid. The poor little student just going home, with nothing new learned.
We have to educate our people properly. Population in Metro Manila has increased so much in the last decades. People don't see the relation between quality education and standard of living. All they know is that they need to study and pass, then go and find a job, and have a family in the future.
Eleven kids will be too much for a couple to handle. Just imagine how they will be treated equally by their parents, especially when it comes to expenses. What with a measly minimum wage.

What's The Best Breakfast For You?
Breakfast is the first meal you take to start your day. It is quite essential for one to eat breakfast, for it energizes your body, especially when you have been through a deep slumber. It really depends on which kind of people, if you are to think of what breakfast usually consists of. May it be pancakes, fried sunny side up eggs, hotdogs, pan de sal or even just a sip of coffee would be enough to get you going.
But for me, breakfast wouldn't be the same without fried rice or sangag in Tagalog. It's leftover rice from the past evening, then fried with garlic and a little bit of seasoning. It goes with fried eggs, dried fish or even salted eggs. If you are lucky enough, you can buy lumpiang shanghai or tortang talong from your neighbor selling breakfast items. By the way, I'm not a coffee fan. I'm used to ice cold softdrinks in the morning. I am a Call Center agent and morning for me is like ending the day. But honestly speaking, I really am not into coffee. I'd rather have tea or hot chocolate in the morning.
There's so many to choose from for your breakfast. Arroz Caldo, sopas, sausages, tapa or even spaghetti. Yes, we Filipinos are already used to having spaghetti for breakfast.
But regardless of what you eat, just make sure that you'll still have some space left in your stomach for the lunch ahead. We know that eating too much maybe harmful to our health. It may even lead to obesity. What matters is, before going to school or work, you are already charged for the day ahead.

Cemeteries Closed on Nov 1
Yes, you read it right. The Manila City Government has ordered all cemeteries to close from October 30 to November 2, because of the pandemic. And it's possible that all other LGU's or should I say nationwide, shall follow suit. This is truly heartbreaking for me, though I understand what the intentions are.
It's been a family tradition for us every year, like a reunion, to come and be together and commemorate our departed loved ones. My mom is buried in Manila Memorial Park in Sucat, Paranaque. We usually go there the night of October 31st and stay there overnight until we go home the night of November 1. There were also instances wherein we stayed until November 2. And just across our mom's burial place is the tomb of Ninoy and Cory Aquino, which we often visit before walking 500 meters to the north, just to visit the tomb also of Rico Yan.
And I remember also the Halloween Party held beside the riverside. There's actually like a river that runs through the cemetery, more like a large canal. But you wouldn't feel any mosquitoes because of the hundreds of candles lit up in each and every tomb.
Thinking about the order, it could somehow be a prelude to the yuletide celebrations. There won't or they won't allow any mass gatherings.
I hope this pandemic ends soon. 2020 has really been a rough year for us. After November 1 and the Yuletide season, what comes next?

Mama Mary's B-day
Today is Mama Mary's birthday. I'm not sure how they come up with this date, but like Christmas, Catholics celebrate this every year.
I remember a time in my life when I was saddled with problems, that I am already blaming God and questioning Him. I always ask why my prayers aren't answered and that why life is so unfair. So I thought of the idea of, why not just offering my prayers to Mama Mary instead. And that somehow, she will be able to relay my message to God. So for how so many years that I haven't prayed the rosary, I began doing it again. I came from a Catholic school and praying the rosary everyday is a must. Especially when it's October, the rosary month. And how about the Angelus at noontime? If you're also from a Catholic school, you'd surely know what I am talking about.
I don't have the means of going to Baclaran today, because of the limitations on public transportation, especially the route going to Baclaran from our place. But one thing is for sure, I'd better get my rosary from the altar later and start praying, and also greeting her a Happy Birthday.

Meaning of Spam and Article
Just to try and set the record straight, I came up with an article with the online definition of spam and article. The reason for this I will explain later.
So I checked the meaning of spam online and guess what were the first searches. Of course it's gonna be the ever famous brand of canned meat. So i tried typing in spamming, and this is what it gave me.
Spamming - send the same message indiscriminately to (large numbers of recipients) on the Internet
Now, I don't want to interpret this in another way. I'll just stick to the basic definition of it. And applying the rules of RC, I can just say that we are not allowed to post or write the same message or article over and over again, not even on the comments section.
Try to write a short post, like good morning or good evening, then try to post it again. You will see a pop-up message telling you that you are sending almost the same message. You have been warned.
Next, I searched for the meaning of an article and here it is.
Article - a written composition in prose, usually nonfiction, on a specific topic, forming an independent part of a book or other publication, as a newspaper or magazine. an individual object, member, or portion of a class; an item or particular: an **article** of food; **articles** of clothing.
I apologize if I copy pasted it. I just really want to show what the online search shows me.
Now, again, I don't want to interpret this in another way. All I understand and would like to point out is there should be a specific topic. So maybe you're asking, what's with me showing the definition of an article. Well, I'm doing this because I'm a bit annoyed with some users/members using the "write an article" option as means to sending their daily greetings to other members. They are treating it as like updating their status on their social network account. Come on guys, we can just post these kind of messages thru the " write a short post" button.
I just hope that one day, when everything about the spam issue has already been settled, we can move forward and focus more on creating quality and interesting topics for the site.

Buko Pie
When we were kids, our parents would always take us to our province whenever it's All Saints' Day. It's there where our grandparents were buried and we pay a visit every year until we were teens. Before going to the cemetery, we would first go to our Aunt's house which is just a few kilometers away. We would fetch them and go straight to our Lolo and Lola's tomb. If we are lucky, we would stay there for two days, given that November 1 and 2 falls on a weekend. And after visiting the cemetery, we then go back to our Aunt's place before going back to Metro Manila.
But before we go back here, it's been a tradition already for us to buy some pasalubong. There's macapuno candies, espasol and my favorite, buko pie. The shop where we always buy it is just across the entrance of the cemetery. I could still remember the price of each box, which is just 30 pesos. So, we buy atleast 6 boxes for us. We are also six in the family. So it's like one box for each member. I already forgot the name of the buko pie, but I can still remember the tagline "The Original Buko Pie".
Well, i grew up knowing that the one we were buying was the original one. And if ever we buy from a different shop, the taste kinda not the same anymore. We were used to the same old buko pie we were buying from Los Baños.
Decades past and you can already purchase a buko pie at the mall. But still, doesn't taste authentic. There are even fake buko pies that tasted like paste. And the price now not only double or tripled. The last time I asked for the price of a buko pie in a mall is 350 pesos. Just imagine if I buy 6 boxes with that price.
A few days ago, I saw somewhere near our place, selling buko pies. I didn't even dare to inquire. For me, it's still the Original Buko Pie or nothing.
