I don't know yet what exactly is the difference between an introvert and extrovert person. Guess I need to still research about it, but there are those people who has the talent to hide the pain inside them. You will see them always smiling at you, very accommodating and when you look at them, they seem to be just ok...perhaps.
But what IF...what if we actually have a device to measure how one person feels, especially the pain they are experiencing at the moment? Wouldn't it be nice to know the ways on how we will be able to help them, comfort them?
There has been an alarming rise of the number of suicide cases each year. And majority of that number, people were shocked to know that the person who committed suicide didn't manifest emotions of distress and depression.
Wouldn't it be nice if we'll be able to measure emotions of people, as a basis for a decision we have to make? Just think of all the people whose emotions are disregarded.
You always say to someone, "how are you today?". Often times they will reply, " I'm just ok, how about you?" Or "Doing great!". But most of the time, they really don't mean what they say.
What if a couple broke up? Who feels the pain the most? Will we just rely on the statement that ladies always feel pain the most, whatever the reason is for the break-up? What if it they were the ones at fault? Will we be able to detect who suffers the most using this device?
It would surely be a perfect application of science and technology to understand how a person feels. Science always explains why and how a person's emotions are but lacking application on real world scenarios.
It would surely be gratifying if we use the device and know that all people around us are happy and contented. And we will be able to lend help or comfort to the ones suffering from pain.
Depression kills. We have to fix it. And we have to do it the soonest we can.
